better design

hi, im trying to develope a new style intake manifold for my car. its already an efi setup and this is the best resource i have found for custom fabricating intakes. the car is a 1995 nissan maxima se. currently it has a long tube setup split between and upper and lower plenum. i was wondering if switching to a short ram directly over the lower intake would be a benifit. i was a camaro owner for quite some time i just switched to a better fuel car while saving for my dream garage to get another camaro again.
if anyone could bring some insite i would be very thankful. the import boards are a little lacking in real performance upgrades.

i will try to find an image for reference.

Re: better design

The cost to custom develop something like that would not be worth it.
Nissan has a fairly large bankroll for R&D and put together a system that works quite well in the 3.0 engine. Switching to a custom short runner intake would require extensive tuning which is not easy or cheap with the Maxima.

You'd do better to look into maxima.org and see what sort of performance gains people have already been successful with.

btw my daily driver is a 2000 SE

Re: better design

yea i have been over there since i got my max. i thought it might be worth while since the ka, sr, and rb engines all have a shortram system. for the money involved maybe im just better porting the lower half and getting a mpvi or whatever initials it is intake.
