Engine losses power for two seconds and ....
After taking the car to Orlando Speedway and running some slow ET's (no traction), I was driving around several days later, and the engine would lose power for about two seconds and come back to life. I would be cruising on the xway, and the engine would do this about once every 10 to 15 minutes.
Any ideas on what to look for?
I do have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up in the engine bay which I can tape to the wiper and see from the drivers position. I thought that I was possibly losing fuel pressure.
Special note: I am finally moved into Florida and have internet access back.
So I am back on thirdgen!

I guess it could possibly be many things. The first things I think of is to check for loose wires - fusable links down at the starter, and the grounds on the back of the heads. See if anything is loose or burning out in the ignition system.
If power is dieing instantly then coming back just as fast I'd suspect power to the ignition system is the problem.

All good points. Plenty of stuff to check. Now that I am all moved in in Florida, I can now devote some time to this car. I've been thinking fuel pressure, or ignition. I will be getting the car out late this afternoon, as soon as I get home from work.
The grounds on the back of the heads is very good.

How stupid of me,,, the negative battery terminal was a bit loose.. I have been disconnecting the negative cable when I know that I may not get back in the car for 2 or 3 weeks. I had to snug it up very good.
