hsr and hood clearance
can you run a ss hood with a holley stealth ram? maybe 1 brand over another brand of ss hood, i'd prefer a metal one. right now i have a 2 inch cowl induction hood, but would like to run a ss one. an ss one rises at least 1.5 inches it looks like but possibly too far back because the throttle body is more forward than that i think.
found these pics on the internet, but maybe someone has done this.

For Camaro... As long as it isn't lower than stock, you should be ok. My 89 IROC required a little bit of clearancing on the stock hood so it didn't rub the inlet hose. I understand Firebirds are a little tighter but folks here have run them.

Re: hsr and hood clearance
i know fiberglass requires even more bracing and the last thing i want to do is clearance it to the max, and then it still hit the engine. it's expensive to ruin. also lets say i step on it and the motor pulls side to side and rubs it then. anybody have side shots of a ss hood i can compare the location i need it to rise.
