hooking a maf up to a first injection

hi, i have finally got my first injection unit installed on my third gen camaro, and i was wondering what everybody did to hook up a maf to the throttle body. I am attempting to use the stock air intake and it looks like the bellows are about 2 inches too long to hook it up. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Also what did everybody else use for a throttle cable, i have modified my stock 87 tpi cable to work for now( i just drilled the hole larger to fit over the stud) but i have been unable to find a clip to hold it on.

Thank you in advance for any help anybody could provide.

Re: hooking a maf up to a first injection

The attached picture shows both sides of a stock clip that retains the brake booster rod to the brake pedal which has a larger stud than the your TB has; obviously this clip is on my keys.

It may or may not fit. If you have a low tensile thin sheetmetal, you could probably make something similar that works for you temporarily.

thanks for your reply, yeah i picked up something like that but it was to small, now i ended up finding a press on retainer to get it to hold for now, it doesnt look the greatest, but if it holds i will run it until the winter when i can spend more time making it look nicer.
