Ok this isn't a TPI, a ASR or a TPIS miniram. Its some sort of monster TPI sheetmetal nightmare?

The irony of it being roughly the size and shape of a twin screw blower is not lost on me haha.

Re: TPIS Minirams are finally selling (cheap?) on ebay
There is just no good way to make a horizontal intake work properly. Modern EFI systems use injector offsets to compensate for the uneven air distribution, but if you are on old 80s batch fire technology like me, a single plane and a cowl/ram air hood is the way to go.
My air cleaner sticks through my hood with an open top, and I have a ram air scoop that bolts on.

TWO minirams. From the same guy but they are actually two different miniram intakes.

Then there is this thing for $500. Its an edelbrock lower with rails, a BBK FPR, a set of siamesed "leginfelter" runners, a plenum, and a set of 24# "excell" (haha) injectors.

Yeah, the guy is deluded. Thinks since he paid *rape* in the 80's-90's that he can sell it for *rape* today. He will have to hod onto it for at least another 20 years for it to be that valuable.

I am looking for $1100 for everything. I also have the roller cam (Custom Joe O cam) that this system was tuned around if someone wants to make a package deal. Car went 11.60@117 with this setup and AFR 190 heads.

I replaced it with a ported AirGAp and Demon 750. I did this for bracket racing. My ET and MPH are nearly identical between the two...the carb setup is just more consistent. The miniram has been in my basement for almost two years. I was thinking about using the Miniram on another build, but my plans have changed.

The one thing that suprised me most about the switch was how well the carb drove around town. The Miniram was good...the carb was just as good. I didn't expect that. the cam is 236/242@ .050 on a 109LSA. Not huge, but not small for a stock L98 shortblock.

I should also add that I will throw in the distributor (with melonized gear), cap and required waterneck for that $1100.
Getting ready to post up mine. It is a Miniram II (closely matches a 1205 port), BBK 58mm throttle body, fuel rails, 30lb SVO injectors, new Aeromotive FPR, brackets, all new sensors (excpet the IAC...that is still the original), the custom chip from a 1990 speed density (This is Traxion's old setup).
I am looking for $1100 for everything. I also have the roller cam (Custom Joe O cam) that this system was tuned around if someone wants to make a package deal. Car went 11.60@117 with this setup and AFR 190 heads.

Thanks! I can't take any credit though. Traxion had videos posted on this board of the car running 11.60. It is part of the reason I bought it. I was going to chime in on the other thread where you were discussing cams for 400RWHP. This car put down just over that. The cam is an Erson grind spec'd by Joe Overton. It really needs more stall (4400 would be great). I think it can go 11.40's in good air.

specs of that motor and weight of car? DA of that run. For central PA, i know the DA doesnt get too low around those parts. 117mph with a regular weight thirdgen isnt too bad. 190 heads arent near as good as the newer 195's.

True. The DA here stinks during the summer and the humidity is always high. However, the 117MPH was put up by Traxion and I thought he ran at Atco. My best at Numidia was an 11.87@115MPH and the DA was just over 3000'. That identical run at Atco may have been slightly faster than 11.60. Again, this was with the stock L98 shortblock and me shifting at 7000RPM and crossing at 6400RPM. The car weighs 3400lbs with me in it.

Re: TPIS Minirams are finally selling (cheap?) on ebay
I had 100's of passes on it since I have owned it (past 5 years). I am not sure how many Traxion put on it. It finally gave up a piston. I don't think it was the RPM that broke #8 (top ringland into the crown). There was evidence of oil being pulled into the intake at that runner and detonation. I think the oil in the mix put me over the edge and detonation broke the piston.
I am putting it back together with new pistons (.030 over) and a slightly bigger Mark Jones cam and higher stall. Everything else the same. Looking to make about 30 more HP and run consistent 11.60's in typical 3000' DA.

Re: TPIS Minirams are finally selling (cheap?) on ebay
See if you can get those heads worked over abit. That way you can make more power in the same rpm range and be less stressful on the motor and more streetable if you drive it anywhere. Probably can use same cam
My friend had those heads on a stockish L98 with 280xfi cam and stealth ram. It went 12.2 at 112 in ok air with horrible valve float. With proper springs it was a high 11 second car for sure. Would have made another 20-30whp easily and pulled another 500 rpm. That alone would have made a big difference in times. The heads work pretty good but the newer stuff just passes more air and makes similar power so much easier.

Re: TPIS Minirams are finally selling (cheap?) on ebay
The heads had some mild work done to them...I think. I have a flow sheet that came with the car that showed just shy of 280CFM at .600 lift and 260@.500. I think that is better than stock, but not sure. I thought of having more work done and stepping up to 2.05" intake valve. Maybe I still will someday (everything is budget limited when you have three little ones at home LOL).
Valve float is a big deal for sure. I run Patriot gold springs, Ti retainers, 3/8 pushrods and a Rev Kit. No signs of valve float at 7000RPM.

Ok, yeah thats much better than stock. Stock they were 262 at .500-.600. Those are on the same level as the 195 castings. No wonder you make such good power. now the competition package is said to flow near 280
