l98 W/HSR questions
l98 W/HSR questions
Hey,
after my project 12.50 or better thread, I've got some ideas, and I started to gather parts.
As of right now I have, or have on the way,
HSR with 52mm TB
1.6 crane gold roller rockers
4inch cat back mufflex system
spohn LCAs
Next Items I'm working deals on
Afr 195s COMPS
Trying to find my right cam, Whats your thoughts?
And looking for a deal on a lockup 2800-3200 stall,
Looking for some advice on those with the HSR and 700r4.
And I'm still waiting on Dyno Don to get back to me on headers and ypipe pricing,
I have a BBK 58mm TB off a lt1, will it work? will it be worth it? as I would have to port the front of the HSR,
Worth it to port the HSR?
What size injectors do you guys think I should use? 24lb?
And last.. I would LOVE to learn to tune my car! what a good program to start with?
Thanks guys!

Re: l98 W/HSR questions
what lift do you feel I should run? should I sell them and score some 1.5s? I got them for a hell of a deal, thats why. I would like large lift, as my plan is to pull the engine this winter and run a 377 or 383 with 11.1 or so,

Re: l98 W/HSR questions
There is absolutely nothing wrong with adding 1.6 rockers most builders use 1.6s to maximize the cam of choice. TPIs,LPE and quite a few others spec their cams with the use of 1.6s same with the GM hot cam........go for it!

Re: l98 W/HSR questions
Stop right there..........calling comp to get a cam will not be the best thing in the world to do however if you contact www.advancedinduction.com they will get you a custom cam that will maximize your combo.

if you buy the lift you want on the new cam , you can later maximize the cam by using 1.6's if you need more lift.
Exactly my point;
you can get a cam with the .525 lift of the Hot cam that doesn't need 1.6 rockers
