Re: MiniRam install?
ok, got the miniram installed, The direct fit fuel lines supplyed by TPIS dont seem to fit right... and one of the fittings will not even fit on the fuel inlet line! kind of P*ssed being that I just paid the extra $100 bucks for them and they dont even fit right. How are your lines routed and has anyone else had this issue...

Re: MiniRam install?
Which lines did you purchase? I got the braided flexible lines from tpis and they worked perfect. Did you get hard lines?

Re: MiniRam install?
Definition(sp) of peformance parts is---- It doesn't fit !
if you have the hard lines, yes you will have to tweak them a bit..
If it was easy.... Everyone would do it !!!
Glad ya got it installed you'll dig it.

Re: MiniRam install?
I got the flexible lines. three of the fittings have a 120 angle and one has about a 60 degree angle, all four ends have the same size fittings. not sure where they actually go... they didn't come with instructions.. maybe I'm doing it wrong. witch one is the is suppose to be the return? I'm attempting to rout em off to the driver side and affix them to the fittings right next to the wheel well (is his where there suppose to go?) but the pressure fitting on the car is larger then the return, iv got all of them on but that one its bukoo! haha, HELP please... Thanks guys!

Re: MiniRam install?
Tried to post up pics last night but failed. I found the pic you need. Do a search in alternative port intakes.
Type in miniram pics and go to the thread titled minirm install pics needed. Posted by justin 89 formy. The second post has the pic you need.
Good luck

Re: MiniRam install?
Because you need these:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-9894DBHERL/
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-9894DBJERL/
They should have come with the miniram, the tpis ones are identical apart from the fact that they are not anodized blue, they're bare aluminum.

Re: MiniRam install?
Your in the correct spot.
You should have 2 adapters that thread onto the hard lines then onto your braided lines. Do you have the adapters?

Re: MiniRam install?
O boy you may have to put a new AN fitting on the part you screwed to the factory hard line! If the seat or threads got messed up.. Can't believe you got a metric saginaw "O"ring fitting screwed into a AN cone and seat fitting !!
Def check those AN fitting threads and the seat! AN fittings should screw down with finger pressure until the end. the seat cannot have any knicks at all or it'll leak/seap.. not good by the headers or manifolds..

Re: MiniRam install?
You can simply use a unf tap to recut the threads carefully, as long as the taper seat isn't messed up and the threads are not completely stripped. -6AN is a 9/16-18 thread

Re: MiniRam install?
Feed & return hooked up properly or mixed up? The system should bleed itself and start quickly after install.

The feed hooks to the fuel line, the return to the regulator

Here's a video of hoeme its all hooked up, not sure where all the vac lines are supposed to go or what there for, all input will help, she still stalls when I drop it into gear unless I bring it up to 1500 RPM while I'm doing it.

Re: MiniRam install?
For one, do not hook the map to a shared vac connection, t-ed like you have. Give it a dedicated line.
Secondly, what did you set the timing at? What's the idle rpm in P/N and does it drop a lot in gear?

Re: MiniRam install?
There are 3. The top one goes to the passenger side valve cover. The next one goes to the canister(smog) near the left head light. The small one under the throttle body goes to the egr solenoid.

Wow, I have no idea what lines go where.. egr valve isn't there anymore, the new miniram didn't have one.
