I have an 87 IROC 305 TPI.
I've seen some of these third gens with aftermarket intakes in them, and I was wondering if getting one would give me anymore hp than the stock intake? Some people believe so, but I wouldnt know!
Also, if they are worth it, then what should I look at getting? I know i would have to get my own hose and what- not. And what would be the best design for it?

No extra hp or any worth writing home about. Do a search for modding your stock filter base area.
Check out spectre for cold air kits. Their website is not the best I would search ebay for spectre parts.
