Ported Superram dyno results

+30 hp

+50 tq

At the tire

More to come with fine tuning.
Almost identical to the one below I did last yr in link below
Little more aggressive with this one

It will be run at the track next week or so for B/A times too

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/alte...h-sr-pics.html

+20hp and 40tq is typical just going from 350 to 383
Bang for the buck super happy.

Hi Orr

Base on those go what, 240 tops out of the box?
Then even less with a runner
It was starving those heads... bet they still may be some.

What surprised me is the tq it picked up thats quite a bit.

If you are a DIY guy cartridge rolls alone or scratching it up with a carbide and smoothing it wont get it. You really got to dig into these and spend the time. Its not fun but the gains are worth it.

Re: Ported Superram dyno results

The Super Ram can support some horsepower. We had one on a 400 cubic inch motor with a single cat and it was over 400rwhp. I don't remember the torque but it was up there. With a better exhaust the RWHP would have been well North of 400.

Keep us posted.

EBL probably. Sounds like there could be more gains in the tune?

Re: Ported Superram dyno results

Definitely I think

I know the tune is off from what he was telling me I dont think his guy knows what hes doing. Trying to line him up with someone to nail it down as there is even more to be gained.

His track times were poor for what he had (best of 12.5/108)hes more into that than a dyno # but he will get it sorted out eventually. HEaded in the right direction at least. Always rewarding to find power how many mods do we do that bring very little/none? btdt

Ron, our club is going to have a dyno session in Westminister in late July on a Saturday. We will be dyno tuning if you want to attend. Hey it is only money.

1/8 mi track results from last night

He will do the 1/4 here soon then work on tuning then run it all again

Here's how it worked out.
Before averages:

60 ft.= 1.9605 seconds
MPH. = 84.260 mph averag
et. = 8.330 seconds

After Porting:

60 ft. = 1.787 seconds
MPH. = 87.21 ave.
et. = 8.050 seconds

Re: Ported Superram dyno results

The MPH is probably the biggest tell-tale clue. That is a nice gain for the 1/8th mile.

Good Job. i liked the super ram when i was only spinning the 383 to 5500rpm. just a pain to swap lifters and a cam when ya want too...good street intake.
