carbed 383 to holley stealth ram? need advice

hey guys, my name is sean and i currently build a 383 it had procomp heads 3003 with 210 intake ports. 160 exhaust.
when i launch my car it has skinny tires but it pulls kinda good till maybe 3500
then 3500 to 5000 seems to lack a lot of power. i have a procomp intake manifold with a holley 670 dual feed carb on it. so my thinking is that the manifold isnt matching up the 210 intake ports like maybe half? would a holley stealth ram match up better does anyone have this combo. would i get a lot more power and top end.

another thing is my dad whos been rebuilding 700r4s all his life just rebuilt mine i put a 2500 stall in it and it doesnt stall its like its stock and it shifts really early and i got the tv cable bracket thing with the spring. could it be the valve body he didnt really go into that .
my main thing is the engine seems like it should have a hell of a lot more power

Re: carbed 383 to holley stealth ram? need advice

my bad thought i edited that in there. its a summit cam 488 510 lift 234 244 duration. have enough advance that it pings when i stomp on it. the rear is out of g92 i think 323 or 340 somethin. im just thining that the intake insint nearly the size of the heads. do they make a carb one that fits pritty close. and its not high rise like the heads need to be or id have to cut a hole in my hood. i would do that 2 for the time being untill i get the new hood. cr should be around 10:1
but had it tuned where it doesnt ping with 93 octane

Are the intake ports vortec style?

Are the heads dual drilled?

Could just be the procomp heads. They have huge ports but poor flow so they hurt low end.

What model procomp manifold do you have?

I looked up the heads and it looks like they are drilled for both manifolds and appear to have a vortec pattern.

You probably need a vortec manifold for optimum performance.

This thread has vortec heads do your intake ports look like these? Or are they the square ports?

You want something like this

I almost guarantee you need a vortec manifold. What is your max RPM? Make sure you match the manifold to your cam.
