Fuel return

I did an engine swap to a new car that does not have provision for fuel return in tank form fuel rails (HSR). I'm using external fuel pump and was wondering can i connect fuel return between tank and fuel pump or not

best regards

Possible , but elec pumps rely on the fuel flow through them to keep them cool so doing it that way with the line ahead of the pump holding pressure may cause the pump to burn up

Re: Fuel return

You should just be able to order a new sending unit for a fuel injected car, that would be the easiest way. You could get one from a junkyard instead but it would be risky if the actual fuel sending unit would still work... Been there done that.
EDIT: do you have junkyards over there? real question, not sarcastic.

Re: Fuel return

Several companies make a fuel filler hose with a nipple on it to accommodate an EFI motor in an earlier vehicle ... this just replaces the hose between the fuel fill and the tank fill pipe ... it would be the easiest way to accomplish the return line without having to modify the tank itself .......

Moroso makes a piece that will do that.
