HSR & 58mm TB

Currently running stock TB on my 414. Wondering if a 58mm TB will help with flow distribution. Looks like the front cylinders would starve for air in high flow conditions. 58mm TB may reduce velocity.
Also using the stock intake duct and wondering if it is a restriction. Thoughts?

Re: HSR & 58mm TB

I would say yes to all. 58 will help it breathe but slow air down enough at part throttle it may improve distribution. I still saw issues on my 383 with a 58 but most all intakes with front fed plenum will have some distribution at idle and part throttle.

Stock intake ducting would be abit of a restriction on big cubes. My 383 didnt seem to pick up anything from stock ram air tpi snorkel and stock gutted maf when i made 3.5" cold air piping and 3.5 maf but thats 390-400 whp range. A good 414 would be atleast that but make more trq and trq is airflow
