Need a distributor for HSR

My original in cap hei wont work and holley has not been of much help. I need to find out what distributor will work with the electronic advance of the Avenger HP ECU and what I need to do to use a remote mount coil

Use a stock hei distributor from a 97-92 tbi or tpi 5.0 or 5.7

For the coil u can use a 87-92 style external mount coil from a tpi or tbi car or truck

And any external coil you get will work but don't spend extra for a performance coil unless you have the ignition box for it.

just thought that since the 87 up cars were roller cam, what drive gear do i need for a hydraulic flat tappet? its a comp cams 12-246. should be iron, correct?

Any distributor will have the correct gear for a hydraulic flat tappet as it's the weakest dizzy drive gear of all types of camshafts

I use the msd 8366 distributor and msd 5526 coil with my HSR hp efi without the msd box just fine.

Yeah you can run them just fine but they will be no better than the stock setup. You need an ignition box to receive the benefits. Different online thread discussions about it. That's a fact the marketing team does a great job at hiding. It's akin to buying a two step coolant fan or NOS system and never wiring the second step.

I have the box just not sure how it would work with holley hp efi just yet I know I've seen the wiring diagram for it but just holding off until I work all the other issues out 1st. have not even researched to see if my old msd box would even work with this setup, I used it on my old tpi.
