Going to build a 383 HSR AFR

I am going to start collecting parts for my 383 build soon and want to get the right parts. These are what I am thinking... https://www.summitracing.com/parts/c...8/applications
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sca-1-41829/all I am worried about piston slap with the valves as the pistons are dish shaped.

http://www.airflowresearch.com/195cc...cylinder-head/ Do I want the 65 cc or 75 cc combustion chamber?
As for injectors I was told #36 would be good. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/tfs-89036

As for roller rockers, pushrods, roller lifters, I have no clue what to get. Orr89RocZ I wish you lived in NorCal, I'd have you build my engine.

All looks good. Do the afr heads in 65 cc and get the spring up grade for 75$.

Ls7 lifters if oem block.

Tha setup will run good. Alittle lower compression than i like but good for atreet low oct gas

I'm going to go to PNP and find a 350 4 bolt block. As for pistons what do you recommend to get better compression? I want to go with forged. And rockers and pushrods?

Re: Going to build a 383 HSR AFR

If you trust your tuning i would go forged flat top for nearer 11:1 comp but tune on premium pump gas. Might need to keep it richer and lower on timing in spots but it should be doable

If thats a concern run flat tops with the 75 cc head chamber. That be 9.82:1

Or keep dish between 8-12 cc. 12 cc and 65 cc head would be 10.1:1. This is harder to find tho, most dish pistons are 16-28cc which means more like a boost piston.

Cool! Those lifters are if you get the oem roller blocks. Any oldschool block wont work

I am going to get an 87 up 4 bolt block. I'm going to try to find one from '92-'93 years.
