Stealth Ram Install Question

Doing a new install on a Holley Stealth Ram. Since Holley no longer offers an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, the fuel line and crossover line kit no longer includes the 90 degree fitting to add a Schrader valve to to system. I have added an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, so I need to be able to get a good fuel pressure reading set set the regulator. I know the line size is 6AN, but what is the size of the thread size on the end of the fuel rail? Alternatively, can I use a 6AN to 6AN with a schrader port on the back side of the fuel rail where it attaches to the return line to the tank?

Not sure what you are asking exactly. The thread on the rail is a -6 ORB.

You should use a remote regulator with integrated gauge port, similar to what I'm using here. Run the lines for parallel feed without crossovers.:

Re: Stealth Ram Install Question

The -6ORB fitting size helps a lot. The older kits provided 90 degree fittings that were 6ORB to 6AN with a schrader port in them. That is what I am looking for. The second part of the question was if I can't find that fitting to put a port where the crossover line attach, will I get the correct fuel pressure reading if I put the port where the fuel rail exits to the return line (I have plenty of room back there for a ported straight fitting there) or does the pressure drop by the time it gets to the return line?

In a perfect world, the fuel pressure should be equal and even everywhere in the system, so the placement of the gauge is doesn't matter.

In reality, there is some small variation. I have an electronic sender in my left rail which runs to the ECM to log fuel pressure, and I have the mechanical gauge in the regulator housing.

Again, I'd recommend using a WYE fitting and feeding both rails in parallel, and then running the discharge out the front into the regulator.

Re: Stealth Ram Install Question

Already have the Kirban regulator that goes in the drivers side fuel rail, so the wye won't work in my situation

Gotcha. You should be able to find the fittings you need then. As long as it's not huge injectors or a lot of power the single feed/return should be fine.

Just a little 383 with 38lb injectors, aluminum heads and a decent street cam. Street car only - A/C and power brakes. Nothing crazy.

Nothing wrong with that, my Corvette is set up that way. 450ish HP, A/C. Nice beach cruiser.
