ACES VS FiTech
I've got two master efi kits in mind but don't know for sure which is better. I'm looking at the ACES Master Joker EFI kits vs the FiTech Go Port master kit. Both seem to have a good bang for the buck. Even if the ECU fails, a lot of the hardware should still be compatible with a new controller. Both are roughly the same price and both will work on my engine. So which would be a better buy?

I've done ZERO research on either of them but just in looking at their product pages I would go with the Aces option(assuming those are my only 2 choices). I am however very skeptical about their claim of sequential, whatever. For sequential you need a cam sensor. Perhaps they are using a vortec distributor which I thought used a cam sensor but you still aren't' getting around the #1 issue with a single coil distributor based ignition-- Dwell/charge time for the ignition coil. That's why individual coils are used for sequential. Cause you know if GM and Ford could have saved money and used only one ignition coil they would! I'm using a crank sensor and wasted spark for my individual coils. I've had ZERO issues in 7 years with my wasted spark individual coil setup whereas I always had ignition issues with my single coil setups using those Ignition control modules.

I have had 2 edelbrock pro flo systems in my ta over the years. My current pro flo 4 xt worked great on my engine when it was NA. Then i used it w my supercharger and it tuned up awesome. It runs great and has been flawless for years. I just picked up an old bronco w a fitech go street 600. The interface is no where near the pro flow in any way. The proflow has so much more adjustability and just much easier to navigate. All the pro flo systems ive seen work really. The fitech is definitely not as smooth. And other people ive talked with felt the same. When my ta was on the dyno getting tuned, the dyno owner/operator was telling me he used to work for fitech. He told me that their stuff is good but holley/edelbrock really stepped it up recently and their stuff tunes better typically. To be honest, if i cant get the fitech on my bronco running a little smoother, ill likely pull it off and put a pro flo on it.

I didn't like any options of what is out there, I have heard alot of complaints recently on both Aces and FiTech. I solved the issue by going if Microsquirt and a used Fast EZ EFI 1.0 throttle body.
