Wondering if anyone out there can send me in the right direction as to what products to use to polish my wheels. They have oxidized and turned grey and need some help. I saw an acid etch product at the local NAPA store but will that hurt my tires? Also, I have Wenol metal polish. Will that be good enough? Or is there something better out there?

 

did the damn thang to my own rims last week. here's what you do. figure out if your rims are painted and cleared or just polished aluminum and clearcoted. do you want them original or do you want to just strip them down to naked aluminum and polish the h@ll out of them. i sprayed on aircraft stripper{from autozone or walmart} let set on for 15min them sprayed off with pressure at carwash{do the spaying on at carwash making sure not to get this stuff ON YOUR CAR!! or your hands. i did this about 5 times with 2 cans. i found my rims to be in really great shape underneath all the jacked-up clearcoat. i have not polished them yet so being really careful. I GOT BRAND NEW WHEELS!!
