Cops N Rodders Car Show
Well, to all those of you who said they were going to be a part of the caravan/show for the Cops N Rodders Car Show in North Brunswick this past Sunday...I didnt see any of you who said they would go. You all missed out BIG TIME. We had a police-escorted line of 40+ F-body's to the show....it was really amazing to look in your rear view mirror to see more than half a mile of Camaro's and Trans Am's behind you with a police car in front, leading you all the way through the gates to the actuall show, lights flashing and all. Its too bad you didnt show up...I was looking forward to meeting some of you. Even though the weather was at times, questionable, we still had an awesome turnout. Let the excuses commence.....

I woke up this morning @ 5:30 to get there in time for the caravan(Drove from Newark, Delaware). I was going up route 1 at 8:15, and figured I missed the caravan, so I just blew past On the Border.
Phantom, were you in the show??? I only saw 2 thirgdens in the show, both camaro's.
I am assuming that you came in with the lineup of 4th Gens. Yes, that was VERY impressive. I was standing in the parking lot Gawking.
For all those who missed the show, completely ... ur loss. I just wish I would have made the caravan. All in all, great day. Thanks Phantom for lettin me know about it.

If I was home in Hamilton I would have gone, but I am stuck up here in ROCH till the end of may. I saw the pics that Jim 86 Bird took. Some freakin HOOOOT cars there. There was just one car that I didnt really like, that dark blue 4th gen bird. All was good on it till you saw the wing.

KZad....
I was actually IN the show..and IN the caravan as well. Like I had mentioned when I started to post about the upcomming show a few weeks ago, I was there with my 1998 Silver C5 coupe. So, I wasnt actually there with my 86 TA....and I wasnt parked with the rest of the F-bodies. I was with the Corvettes, where they put me. There were 3 Silver C5's at the show...a coupe with a glass top and no side moldings, a convertible that had all sorts of stuff on it(hood, spoiler, graphics, Z06 chrome rims, etc), and mine...mine had the moldings on the side, stock wheels, and a body-colored removeable roof. That is where i spent the majority of the day-waiting for judges. But anyways, I was there, and it was an awesome turnout for CJCFO and MAFBA(i think they participated). 40+ CARS!!!!!!!!! But, KZad...at 8:15, as luck would have it, we were STILL at On the Border, waiting for another group of cars who got lost or were running late or whatever happend....so our caravan didnt start till after 8:30. I saw ONE thirdgen go by as we were standing in the parking lot of On the Border...it was a black Z28 or RS with white stripes. I dont know if that was yours or not, but I did see that one....didnt see it at the show though. But it was an awesome event....I do hope next year, more people from this board will show....becasue if we can hit 40 cars this past sunday, we can do 60+ next year for the show.
I have to agree with PopaPork though...that one Trans Am, the blue one was NICEE.....but that wing just doesnt belong there, in my opinion.

Yeah, the lack of Third Gens wasn't good. Too many 4th's.
My friend had 1 of the 35th Anniversary SS's. He thought he was gonna be the only 1. I told him to bring the 84 Z28. You don't see a Third Gen like his everyday.
They should make shows like that from like 11AM-4PM or something.

Jim 86 Bird...
Yea, we were still there....right at the main entrance to Sears(if you were to go up it, to your right, was the parking lot where we were sitting and waiting)...but what and awesome turnout. I wish we could have had more, and I do hope for next year, I can get some more Thirdgenner's to go. Maybe there were ALOT of 4th gen's, but they are all still "family." Still an F-body. And I know that there are plenty on this board that have some kick-@$$ thirdgens that can open up a can of whoop-@$$ on cars on the road, then go to McDonalds to get a frosty and say "yea bi**h." The only reason we were so late, was b/c the other group was late getting to the meeting point. I do agree though, that the show should go from 11-4 or so....that would be a better time....its hard getting up on a sunday morning at 6:15 I felt bad for you guys that had to get up between 5 and 6am....alot of those that actually came to the caravan did that, and still had to stand around and wait another 1.5hrs. Oh well....as long as next year will be better....
I saw both 35th SS's....nice nice cars.....didnt like them when they first came out, but it grew on me a bit. I'd still rather have a 4th gen SS in hugger orange with the white leather seats....SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET :hail: :hail:
