Anyone Polish 'bird wheels? Pics?
I was thinking about polishing the wheels on my Formula, but would love to see what I might expect to see once I am done. Anyone ever done this? Got pics?
I've started polishing the trubine style rims on my T-A, and also color matching the original grey areas maroon to match the car, I'll try to post pics as soon as I am finished,
by the way, they are alot of work, the machining groves are a pain to get off the rim. but worth the effort.

I look forward to pics!
But I do not have the cross lace wheels.
I have the wheels that have the flat face, with the generic Pontiac wheel pattern.... hopefully you know what I am talking about.
I'll post a pic when I get home tonight...

This is a buffed/polished wheel from a 1986 (RPO PW7) Trans Am. The centers have been repainted with Eastwood SprayGray, new caps, medallions, and lug covers.

They are stock 16 x 8. You can read the article I wrote Polishing Your Wheels and then if you want to see a few more pics of how they look on the car Click Here

Here is a pic of my wheels that I am doing. I am going to re strip them again this summer and repolish them and paint them over again. They are not nearly as shiny as they should be due to the clearcoating job I gave them. Hopefully they will be twice as shiny when I am totaly finished with them.
I WANT THEM!
ARE THOSE POLISHED RIMS IN GOOD CONDITION? IF THEY ARE I'LL CONSIDER BUYING THEM!! E-MAIL ME AT = BLKBEUTY91GTA@YAHOO.COM

I used Eastwoods Spray Gray for an excellent match.

Whatever you choose may sure it's name brand and you can remember what it was so you can touch up in the future if you need too.

Those are very nice! Nice car too, would it be possible to polish the spokes too? Cause mine are looking a little tired.
