What tires do you recommend?

Right now the camaro has some winterfyre tires on it, which look absolutely ridiculous.. not really a camaro tire.. but anyway i was wondering what you guys would recommend, and if you have any sites with some nice deals on tires i would appreciate it

You cant really see the tires in this pic sorry.. but if i put the whole picture its over 800k and we dont want that

I have Firestone SZ50 on my Camaro and I really like them. I have Kumho tires on my Sebring and many of the thirdgen people use them also. Kumho makes a nice tire for the money but I think the SZ50 is a better tire.

I've got Dunlop SP5000's on my IROC and I like them. Greatly improved traction in the rain. I got all four of mine mounted and balanced for $600.

Yeah I liked the way the Dunlop Sp5000's looked on the, uhhumm Mustang, yeah I said it, but they were on the SVT's. Those tires are kind of soft, and they wore out quickly. But good traction.

I have the Potenza's on the IROC, RE910's, but I think they might be discontinued, I dont know. Pretty good tire though.

I like Nitto's. They are fairly cheap too.
You can get 4 555's for under $400!

These tires came with the polished IROC wheel's that I just got, I like them a lot and would highly recommend them

I have the Eagle GS-C's in 245/50-16 for my 16x8 IROC wheels. Are you still running the 15x7 wheels? Not many good tires I know of in that size, but I never really looked hard cause I took 'em off. Good luck.

$620 is actually a pretty good price for NITTO's in those sizes. I paid $600 for my set of NT555 extreme ZR 245/45/17

I think the best way to get tires is to actually have a hook-up at a local tire shop. I get my Mastercraft Avenger GTs for $75 a piece through a friend. I mount and balance them myself at home so the whole thing only comes to $300 for new tires!!!!

I agree with Chuck on this. If you have the money thr Firehawk SZ50 is a great tire,if your tight on cash Kumho make a good tire for the price. I used to have the SZ50's when I had 15's on my car, when I switched to 17's I went with the Kumho Supra 712's which are a good tire, but when they wear out I'm going to slap another set of SZ50's back on.

I'm running Falken 502 ZIEX's now. Great tire. Has nice wet weather performance (when I occassionally get stuck driving in the rain). Pretty aggressive looking tread pattern. They are a directional tire so be careful if you get them.

What size wheels are you running??
If you've got 15's then the Firestone Firehawk SS20's are nice for a mild performance/looks tire. The Firehawk SZ50 is made in the 225/60ZR15 size and those are gonna be the most agressive tire available in 15"

In 16's the SZ50 is still one of the better choices. The Bridgestone Potenza RE730 is a better priced ZR tire. If you don't need the higher speed ratings then check out the Bridgestone Potenza RE950, they are HR rated to 130mph and have killer wet performance (If you need Wet traction)
As StngKlr recommended, the Potenza RE910 is a good tire with a TR (118mph) rating, those are current tires and not being discontinued so there's another option. The 910's were on sale through Tirerack.com recently for around $89 in a 245/50R16.
