I wish I could show you a picture of what I'm thinking about. I have an 89 TransAm. It's blue with the grayish silver GFX. I've been tryin to find something that would make it stand out a little more other than the spoiler and polished wheels. Maybe a new hood, or silver hood bird, or a bird in the back window and a TRANS AM windshield banner. I like the stock hood though and I think the best thing on it would be racing stripes. The problem is that the hood vents and grooves are angled so dual stripes would probably look like crap. Then I saw a firebird with a single stripe. It looked good but it was too wide for T/As because of the vents in the good. So I think I want a narrower single grayish silver stripe, about the width of the GFX. Basically the same width across the whole car but with sort of a bullet shaped tip on the front. It should fit perfect between the hood vents. I'm not sure how to do the stripe on my spoiler though. I know this a lot to read and probly hard to understand, I wish I had pictures. You could photoshop one real easy. Just a thought. Comments appreciated.

 

There is a 4th gen firebird around here that has a black stripe kinda what like you are describing, except the front just cuts off and there is a black firebird there. It looks alright, but he coulda done better. I'll try to get a pic if I can.
