I paided about $3500 in all for my paint job on my 1985 Z28. It was worth every cent!! Some people like the color scheme and other don't. I personally like it thats why I painted it that way P.S. The bowties are soon to be gone decided they look better w/ out!!

it all depends where you go and how you want it to look, if you dont have that much money to spend you could always get soemthing cheap for like $500, but youre going to get what you pay for. I mean a $500 paintjob isnt going to look bad, itll look nice but dont expect to be going into any showrooms with it.

For a daily driver I wouldn't get too good of a paint job, accidents happen, cars get keyed, and then if it's your fault in an accident you're really out. Just look at the people who have totaled their cars lately on this sight.

well

I agree, I wouldn't spend more than 3,000 dollars on a paint
job unless you plan on hauling your car everywhere on a trailer
.. if you spend 10,000 dollars on a paint job (and it is possible) you are an idiot if it is your daily driver

3000 is about the average for our cars to do it completly the right way.... and make it look nice and gaurantee it..

About $3500 to repaint my 92 RS the factory Grey/Green Metallic color.Painter complained about how hard it was to get the recipe for the color.I only actually had to pay about $800 of that, because I was lucky enough to be sideswiped by a commercial vehicle right after the GM paint started peeling off.Used PPG paint....good stuff, and warranteed the paint job, but shop is no longer in business.Still looks good after 5 years, except for the damage I've done to the nose myself.

i hope your not talking to me, when i paid for that paint job i was going to school full time and working 40 hours a week.

i saved for my paintjob like most of you are doing now.......i got "lucky" if you want to call it that and a jealous x from one of my now x girl's took it upon himself to try and mess up my car.

so i decided i would take the insurance money and put it towards my already saved amount so i could get a "great" paintjob instead of the"nice" one i was saving up for!

my car isn't any different than anyone elses, i've worked just as hard and saved over time........

until my car makes the magazines don't point your fingers at me......

I did all the bodywork & prep myself, and brought it to Maaco, for a $380 paint job. Came out damn good! 5 years later, it doesn't look so good. It really went downhill when I stopped washing the poor thing... This year; I'm doing it all myself- bodywork, prep, and the "new" skill- paint!

I striped all my paint, added ground effects, did my own body work, then primed, and painted my car gloss black with 1 stage paint, and today I put all my CAMARO emblems on. It cost me about 575.00 for everything I did my car to get the body where it is now. Now I'm working on my interior, I have gotten my dash in,center console in,and new carpet in as well. Next I i'm getting my headliner kit.

Well as some of you know I had my car repainted last year. Now it is still in the damn shop for a engine swap. I am getting really PISSED. Well my paint cost me $0.00. Those are the best paint jobs. The best present my pops ever got me was that paint job. Look in the link in my sig for before and after pics. Take in mind they are horrible pics

Mine cost $2500 last march. Custom mixed paint. Tried doing touch ups but doesn't quite match the factory color. A little brighter white than the factory arctic. The gray stripes were mixed according to 92' medium mettalic gray, they change shades in different lighting from the sun and at angles, kinda cool.
