Ok guys, I just got my IROC and it has a newpaint job, I'm not sure if it's clear coated but man does it shine, it's very nice paint.
what are the best ways to get a mirror finish and good paint protection. etc. what would I need? what kind of wax is best? what procedures should I follow when I wash it?
I want to make this puppy turn heads, oh and just so you guys know it's a metallic blue with silver GFX, no pin stripes or IROC decals on it, pure sleeper.

wash the car using only a "true"100% cotton applicator and real car wash soap........ no dishwashing detergent.
go in motions of the car....in other words. for the top of the car go in straight lines from front to back or vise versa....never from drivers side to passenger.
for the sides of the car go in straight top to bottom motions........never use a swirl motion on any part of the car when washing.
save the windows and wheels for last....they hold the most contaminents and will scratch your paint.
i use three applicators or cotton sponge types.
one for the "top" of the car...molding up.
one for the "bottom" molding down.
one for the wheels and glass.
when drying always use a 100% clean cotton white towel......make sure if it isn't new that it hasn't been washed with harsh detergents as well as particular brands are better....fieldcrest and cannon are the only ones i use....colored towels have harsh dyes that will scratch as well as they hide dirt! again, i use these only if i don't have access to an outlet.......i highly recommend using the california waterblade as it's made of silicone and will not scratch if kept clean. also, i like to use a 210 or higher electric leaf blower..........this works the best and promises a swirl free shine! just looks strange with the neighbors.
for wax........i don't like wax, i recomend using wizards polish products or zaino....anything else wears down the clear coat as well as changes the color of the car.

They made IROC-Z's with 2 tone schemes? Or did he just have it painted that way?
