How to cover the system from thieves looking inside your hatch.

How Do you do that. Right now I use the t-top bag to cover up the amp and speaker box. Some one here posted somthing here that worked like those maps they use in Grade School that you can pull down. This you could just pull over your stuff in the hatch and then from the outside people can see that you have a system in there. Well I have seen to many cars broken into and I dont want t be next. Any suggestions?

I didnt want to have to wait to find one of those, so all I did was get a piece of black vynal that I stretched over the hatch struts. I attached it with black zip ties. It works pretty well, but I need to make a frame for it to stretch it better. But hey, for $10, you cant go wrong.

I might go to home Depot later and see what I can find. If I can get some kinda motor that would roll up the cover by a switch that would be cool.

Thieves in my hatch

With thieves in the hatch, you gotta trick them into jumping out, then you slam the hatch and get the he!! outt there! Sorry, couldn't resist, one of those days!

Whatever works, good luck with it. I think the factory cargo cover would be the best.

My amp is inside the fender well where the plastic comes off on the passenger side. My disc changer is mounted in view on the passenger side near the very back. With the tint it's not noticable.

about the cargo cover shade thing.. my friend had a camaro , i think it as an 86 .. it broke down so he decided t junk it, it was in very bad shape anyways.. but he had the little roll up cargo cover thing , so i got it outta his car, i just dont know if it works right.. it pulls out fine , but it doesnt go back in automatically, i have to roll it up by turning the black things on the edges.. is that normal ? or is this one pretty much junk? ...

i also got one of those locking cargo hatch covers.. i just havent figured out how im gonna put it in yet .. gotta drill though the floor in the back of car or something

Utilize everything!

Utilize every strategy available, otherwise... you will always
be open to thieves....

I have the vinyl cargo cover over my stuff, plus my hatch window is tinted limo black.
I have a Viper550 Alarm system babysitting my car, and an Alpine remote pager that ties into my alarm also babysitting the system.
I have a 900Mhz Baby monitor voice activated that I lay on the back seat so I can hear any conversations going on around my car in the night, or tinkering around....
I keep a mag light flash light, a knife, brass knuckles, baseball bat, and pepper spray right next to the door of my place so I just grab and go....
