I think I prefer the look of smaller rims.

I like to see some rubber in the wheel wells. I like a good balence between chrome and rubber. Something like TransAm87's Cragers. anyone else think the same way? seems like most of you like 17 and 18 inch rims. I was just curious to know what everyone else think.

I think that if you don't have ground effects, chrome wheels with some meaty white-letter tires look great. When I bought my '83 T/A last year, it came with the 16" cross-laced GTA rims on it. I'm debating whether to eventually invest in A) some 15" chrome wheels & white letter tires or B) ground effects. I'm not a big fan of 16"+ rims on F-bodies without ground effects too. But, just my $0.02...

Nah. I like more rubber than a rubberband on MY wheels, too!

I totally agree....

bigger inch wheels and low profile tires don't seem to match a thirdgen f-body in most cases. I believe that 16" is big enough for any thirdgen. 17"+ just doesn't seem to look right. I will be getting some 16" GTA black cross lace wheels for my car when the money starts to trickle in, hey 83tranzam, wanna sell me yours?

...strange, that's exactly what I have. I had to get rid of those terrible 14" turbo wheels

I am iffy. I had the white letters out for a bit on my 15s and they rubber didnt look that big. When I switched it around, so the white was in, those things look like monsters when they are dirty or dont got any Wheel wet on them.
