messed with your car? scratched it? loitered around where its parked? Anything that would cause you to get a little worried about it being damaged? If so, reply.

Yep, I've had it happen to me. Two guys i new from school decide to come down to where I work, smashed open one of there old oil filter and then spaltered it all over my car. It ended up staining my paint (white car) and i can get it out now. What seems to be your problem?

I was sitting in the office of my friend's biz and a guy parked in front of my car, opened the driver side door to get out and hit the front of my car. Chiped the paint, didn't even say anything. Then he decided to lean against my drivers side fender! Little did he know, there was a nice big patch of tree sap there that I hadn't cleaned off yet so there was some payback. Been too many times where people have gotten too close to either opening their door on it or just trying to park next to it. I need a pellet gun
3 weeks ago i come outside to find my lug nuts were missing from my rims......I have 2 locking lugs on each one.....ANOTHER FAILED ATTEMPT TO STEAL MY RIMS......getting out of hand
I now have 5 DIFFERENT lugs nuts(all locking, yes i have 5 keys too) on my car....if they get them off, they deserve the rims....
Also some kids from my school tried to steal my ENTIRE car one night......looks like 1 friend ratted on them and the cops were waiting for them....has the camaro staked out by 4 undercovers fot the night....they got caught....i left the door open so they didn't break my window....
Soda to keep awake - $1.00
Call to the Police - .35/min
Washing the car for them - $2.00
Watching some punks try to steal my car, but instead they get guns pulled on them by 4 undercover cops....PRICELESS

I'm constantly terrified that someone will mess with my car.
If people even look at it the wrong way, they get the 'Glare of Death' from me.
I remember this one instance...I'd followed a friend of mine to her bank. We parked, she got out, I waited in my car....next thing I know this little car has pulled up *right* next to me - not even two feet away from my door. The car had long doors like our cars have, and I was geting kinda pissed. I looked at how far away they were sitting....looked at then man who was about to open the door and I glared.
He was so careful getting in and out.....I don't think I've ever seen anyone so scared to open a car door. >:}

My car was keyed three times and the center-caps on my wheels were stolen. I always park far away from everyone but I think that actually draws more attention to your car. Jealous punks see that and target your car. I know quite a few people with 3rd gens and they've all been keyed. Druggies and punks love our cars and they target them because they don't have one and they can't stand that we have pride in them. It makes them feel better trying to bring us down. This is one of the reasons why I got my concealed carry permit and never leave home without my .357 magnum....

Back when I was in high school I used to drive a s-10 pick up, it was brand new and I worked my but off to pay off it and took care of it very well just as I do my Iroc now. One day as I was walking to my truck at lunch I see one of the teacher aids pull his big old ghetto cruiser caddy in the spot right next to me, swings the door open right into the side of my truck. Gets out looks at the edge of his door, rubs off the chipped paint, then starts to walk away. At this time Im right there going off on the guy. He claims that he didnt do anything to my truck even tough theres a 1" dent with identical metalic blue paint in it as whats on his car. I took it to the principle and police and I was brush off and told it was my word against his and being that I was 16 and he was like 30 I was obviouly wrong. Nice how that system works isnt it??? its ok though, he got his. Its amazing how flamable that fake ragtop velvet stuff is
In high school my '68 was messed with. I think it was a joke by my friends, but after they saw how pissed I was, they didn't fess up. They placed about 10 big rocks on my hood, and put shredded roof shingles in the door handle. Thankfully, in the end there were only some minor scratches that buffed out.

I always park the farthest part away from school in the parking lot. People park right near the school, and I park 3 rows back where it is a little dot from where u can see from school. Nobody goes back there at all. I feel happy that its safe that way and no bimbo's throw their hands up with the bookbag sailing into my car. haha

About a month after i got my car painted, I walked into the parts store on my lunch break. When I came out there was a scratch on the drivers side of my hood from the front all the way back to the back following that crease that runs along side the hood louvers. I had a mustang parked next to me. Hmm wonder who could have done this.
I was so mad that i wanted to have a weldment of a bowtie attached to a rod that could be dipped in red paint to brand horses with.

One night at work, a few months back, I had all 20 lug nuts loosened off my car! I drove around the next day with my mom in the car, not knowing they were loose until the wheels stared making funny noises
When I drive my mom's 92 RS I make sure to park far enough away from other people.... I've even made a point to come back & move the car if someone parks next to me (you should see the look on their face when I move it 20feet way)

Guys listen to this, B4 I bought my Camaro I owned a 1990 Dodge Shadow ES with the 2.5 turbocharged 4 cylinder. It was hella fast, I raced a Neon and beat the guy with the Neon, Well low and behold the next night while I was sleeping, This guy came to my house and spraypainted curse words all over my Shadow, He broke my driver side window, Opened my hood, And ripped my engine bay APART. I had to part the Shadow out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so ****en pissed, The cops never found the kid. If I ever see him in my Camaro I will run him off of the road, I MISS MY SHADOW!!!! U GUYS KNOW SHADOWS ARE QUICK LITTLE CARS AND THEIR PRETTY COOL
I don't hardly sleep at night. I live in apartments in the bad side of town. I park my camaros right next to my bed room window. They are never more than a foot and a half from the window. I wake up in the middle of the night and swear I heard that distinct sound of a 3rd gen door handle been pulled up to see if it is locked. Most people around here have 4 bangers so if I hear a V8 start it must be mine and I sit up in the bed and look out the window. No I do not have to get out of bed too check on them. For the most part I think the people around here are too stoned to know how to steel a car. in the year I have lived here the only cars that got stolen where in the morning. Idiots will start there car to warm it, go inside drink coffee, come back out and it is gone. So far I have had the IROC-Z center caps stolen off the 89 but that is it. I move to the country in 2 weeks. maybe I will get some sleep then. Sorry for the lenght but you asked if anyone was paranoid...

one of my friends had a beautiful Buick t-type. He treated it better than his GF at the time. Anyways, on his 21st b-day, he threw a party and during it, he had to leave and went with a friend in a truck leaving his car there. While he was gone, all of us decided to TP his car(His mom was watching us and laughing the whole time too). We used about 6 rolls of the large charmins and wrapped the car pretty well. When he got back, he was so pissed that he wouldn't talk to anyone for about an hour. We took it all off his car and apologized. After he calmed down some, he told us why he was soo pissed. He owned a gorgeous 97 Ford Steeda Cobra that had about $10,000 dollars in suspension and engine mods. He was at a place called boomers(arcade, recreation, etc..) and his cobra was TP'd and tamponed by his ex-girlfriend and her friends. it also rained that night and the tampons damaged the paint.

Nothin happened to mine. But I never take my car anywhere where its going to be out of site. If you fart next to my car, the alarm will start blaring, and im not gonna be far away. No one has messed with my car thank ***.
damn i have a few actually...body was perfect (cept for a little faded paint) until one day i walked out of petland (where i worked) and see a HUGE dent in my quater panel im talking watremelon size. i immediatly started looking for a car that was dented but i worked ouitside the largest mall in the state...no luck. luckily most of the dent came out with a push but not all of it now the paint chipped alittle and it rusted in a few tiny spots. damn that pissed me off bad and still does to this day.
One morning i came out of my house and there was ketchup all over the side of my car and on my rims..i was like WTF...i know it was done just outside my house (very good neighborhood actually...pretty much only old people
they hate my camaro
) and there is also a few scratches here and there that werent there when i got it.
also has some dumb skank bump my car while trying to parrallel park...i started yelling and she just kept the window up and wouldnt say a word.
and of course my dumbass friend decided to mess with his radio one night when following me home in his 86 custom deluxe and rear ended me at 30mph when i was at a dead stop....other than the fact i about broke my neck IT DID NOTHING im sure whatever is underneath the bumper is screwed but oh well...clear coat was already messed up because the previous owner backed into somebody.

Well nothing has happened to my car yet, but I am one of the most paranoid people you'll meet and owning a thirdgen just makes me more paranoid. I never let her out of my sight. I'm not too worried about my neighbors (all about the same age as me, 16, 17) because I know all of them and they like my car, but it's the people that go to their houses. Plenty of druggies on Friday nights.

My brother in law has an 88 GTA he let his nephew borrow the car for his prom. He spun the car out and side swiped a guard rail. My brother in law had the car fixed new front fender, door, and quarter panel and had the car repainted. About six months later the trans blew up when it was at the shop a Snap On truck backed into it. Damaged the new front fender the whole nose had to be repainted. A few months after that a person forgot to set there parking on there Jeep and it rolled into the new rear quarter. It had an imprint of a spare tire. The person actualy left there Insurance info!! He had another rearquarter replaced. This all happened in about a years time.
On my car a week after I got it painted I had it parked in my condo complex parking lot. Someone door dinged my car on the rear quarter(damn yuppies and old farts).
I could tell an SUV did it because It the ding was so high up. It took out a big chunck of paint.
I brought the car back where I got it painted and showed them the damage. I just told them to touch it up real quick. I knew the guy He said that he would repaint the quarter for no charge

I have another story not f-body related but it's kinda funny.
My stepfather bought a brand new Mercury Sable. After a few months he had some door dings and he was'nt to happy about it. THen he scraped the pass side front fender and front door against something. He got an estimate for about $650 to fix it. He was digusted his new car had door dings and was scraped up. A few months later. I pointed out there was another door ding on the pass side rear door. He got so pissed he kicked the door and it crumpled up like tin foil. He told my mom someone must have hit him in the parking lot at work.
He went back to the same dealer to get an estimate to fix the door he kicked in and the previous damage that was done to the front fender and front door. He thought it was gonna cost over a grand. The same guy did the estimate as before. The grand total was $600. He could'nt believe the price!! With more damage it cost less to fix. He dropped off the car the next day. Since all this happened I don't think he got another door ding

Caught a ***** trying to jack my rims
I once caught a ***** trying to jack my rims. I was coming downstairs at my apartment. I looked at the guy calmly, he looked back, I went back up the stairs and he continued dismounting my Rims. I went back inside and picked up my Gloc 19 calmly walked back out. I said "You'll need the wheel locks.", when he turned around, I pointed my.. oops.. wait I've not been cleared of the charges for that just yet... can't self incriminate... lets just say I was frustrated at my car, and decided to shoot at it. He just happened to admire my car so much that he decided to jump in front of those bullets to save it. And thats " exactly " how it happened. He was even courteous enough to bleed all over his Rice patty rather than my IROC. I learned a lesson that day, no mater how mad you are, never fire at your IROC, because inside every ***** their is an IROC lover willing to catch a bullet for it

One night when I was asleep in my bed some hoodlum tried to carve my doorlocks out of my doors! When that didn't work, it looks like they tried to pull the handle off or bash it in or something. Looks real ugly now. (anybody want to sell some perfect door skins to me?) Then another day, a couple weeks ago, I was outside in my backyard washing my car and I decided to take one of my t-tops inside to try to fix that little b*tch of a strip that always gets caught in my window when I shut the door. Well, I went outside a little later and I saw another hoodlum running from my car to the fence. I went out to my car and it looked like somebody had tried to hotwire it or something. The little plastic panel on the steering column was just hanging there! It's pretty bad when they come into your backyard in the middle of the day and try to steal your car. Those bastages....

I notice there are a lot of comments about "Druggies". It's very true actually, drugs = §hitty people.
I lived in California for a while. The kids in the apartment below mine were hardcore into drugs. Im positive they were selling, because people were in and out all of the time.
Well, once day i notice there is some red paint on my door, and some of my paint had been scraped off. Just someone too stoned out opening their door too quick. Nothing too major, my paint isn't in the best shape, so I blew it off. Well, after talking to them, I got an apology, and I figured that would be that. It seemed like a mistake, and they got the message that I noticed, and to watch out.
Well, about 2-3 weeks later, i go out to my car, and i see something shining on the ground a few feet in front of the drivers door. I picked it up, and noticed it was the little cover which covers the door lock. Metal ring was off to the side, but was black so i didn't see it right away.
Well, I have a 12" woofer and a mediocre amp in the back, so i figured, "great, gone".
My drivers lock cylinder was now coverless, and looked like someone tried to jam a screwdriver in there, and turn the lock to open the door. Also looked like the screwdriver was too big to fit anyway. Stupid stoners.
My key still worked, but I was pretty pissed. When i got to work, i rolled up my window, and it sat a bit more out then normal. Didn't realize it at the time, but it was obvious that they had pried out the driver window a bit to try the t-top handles. I keep everythign locked, even when i get gas, so that didn't work for them.
Pissed me off. I couldn't tell who did it, because there were so many people in and out doing drugs. I figured it was a "client" who had wanted some car audio stuff for his car, and was too stoned to break into my car. Lucky for me...
I scouted the area for the next 3 weeks hardcore. Once a kid who was like 16-17 rode by in a scooter, and when he saw me, he said, "sup'". I was glaring like a ****, and he suddenly broke into a run, and fell down this dirt hill, and onto the sidewalk. I hadn't moved, just turned around, but the kid looked back at me, and quickly got his scooter up and ran away. Never saw him again after that.
Personally, as mad as I was, im glad i didn't do anything harsh. Yeah, i own guns too, and yes, my car is my baby. Better to think these things out too. See, i didn't know who it was for sure. Maybe this kid on the scooter was involved, maybe not. Could just think i was going to bust him for buying drugs from my neighbors... who knows.
Still pisses me off though. Cant' get new lock cylinders from GM which aren't keyed for a new set. Gonna take it to a locksmith at some point and see if i can get a new cylinder and have it keyed for my current set. I don't want to have to have another key to carry around for this.
As for the guy who mentioned someone taking his rims, I think you reacted the same way as I would if i saw someone doing that to my car. Doesn't sound like you are serious about what happened, but I can understand the attitude.
I lucked out, just a ruined cover for my drivers-side lock. It's ugly as hell, but it wasn't like i lost 1K in stereo equipment, or had my car totally stolen or anything.
*sigh* Why are the police always there to give you a speeding ticket, or harass you, but never there to stop stuff like this?
Sad how we get in trouble if we 'do' anything about it ourselves too. Authority in our country is a joke IMO. It's like the police are out to get you, not help you. At least that's my opinion, and that of my friends.

Ok.. so the real story
Ok, so here's the real story behind the rims
I once caught a couple of Ricers trying to steal the rims off of a early 4th gen SS while I was in Miss on vacation. ( who goes to Mississippi for a vacation..?) They weren't stock though, they were some pretty smooth aftermarket rims. (looked like they cost a left nut) I grabbed the keys to my uncles old POS caddy ( Land yacht) and pulled it behind them so close that their was no possible way for the ***** to pull out ( *** only knows where they were going to put those rims in an damn near glowing integra... not only that, they pulled up behind this SS on the street and didn't leave enough room to get out) . Before I got out of the car , one of them came to me and started talkin shiznit. Funniest thing, I got out of the car and this guy started running as he realized I was about 3 ft taller than him (6'2 250lb black guy.. I can be intimidating at times) . His "homies" started running towards their integra, started up the engine and acted as though they were going to try to force their way out. They backed into the Caddy, and all that was heard was a loud CRUNCH as those altezza lights cracked and that 25 HP bumper got caught under the steel bumper of the caddy. By this time, the owner of the SS was outside and was running at his as it was up on a jack. Fortunately, they did not pull forward, they gave up, stopped the car, got out and started running. That guy chased them down the street damn near a mile before giving up. I stood their and watched the whole time until the guy came back and started asking me why I didn't do anything to stop em. Before I had time to retort my uncle doc came out and started hollering at this guy about how I had stopped them from leaving. At any rate, the guy apologized, and I helped him bolt his rims back on. When I moved the caddy back, the altezza's were destroyed, and that bumper was being held on by a single bolt. ( until the SS owner decided to help it off) So were left with this riced out integra windows down but no keys. I suggested we call the cops, but he was like " funk that, my rims are ok, your caddy's cool, we've a car and a few hours to do something with it " . I told him I was not up for theft, so I told him I would just look the other way. I went to see a movie and run some errands after that. I came back around 4 hours later expecting to see the car gone. Well it was gone, for the most part, only thing left was what resembled a frame. Was their own fault though, in that part of town, on the other side of the tracks, in a crime infested neighborhood where no one speaks. Police came around asking questions about the frame that was now pushed off into the bushes near it, but their was a BBQ at this guy's house, and everyone claimed to have been their. Oddly enough, I must have been the only person they didn't question. I doubt I would have told them the truth though, serves them right for one, and not only that, it wouldn't have been wise to do so. So.. thats my story... No BS on that one.
Paranoid People
I was driving to the local drug store one day and my girlfriend was following me in her car. There is a short-cut through this neighborhood that I live on so we decided to go that route. I was driving down the one street that has NO SIGNS whatsoever, and cruising at a cool 25-28 mph. I pass this guy who is parked on the street and he is getting into his van. I thought nothing of him until he yelled quite loudly, "SLOW THE @&#^ DOWN!!!". I immediately looked down at my speedo to notice I was doing 26 mph. I yelled back, "F YOU!!! I'M DOING THE SPEED LIMIT!" (I get those sort of yells because I am a kid, naturally, kind of like that Toyota Celica Commercial, lol).
So finally we get to the drug store and I'm walking in with my girlfriend right behind me and I said, "Did you see that A$$hole?". I said it rather loudly, and as luck would have it, he was going to the exact same drug store and was walking in right behind me. I didn't notice him walk in so I thought everything was cool. I get back to my car, and there's a HUGE LOOGIE on the window and some in the car!!! I WAS PISSED!!! My girlfriend being the passive type, wouldn't let me do anything to the guy in the parking lot.
Later that night, however....lol. He got what he deserved. Let's say a broken taillight, a flat tire, and some nasty nasty anchovies spelling out BIATCH on his windshield did the trick. (I delivered pizzas for a short while).

My RS got hit in the parking lot at work and they left. I had a nice scrape on the back fender. I fixed it myself and did an alright job. It was also egged once, just one egg on the parking light.
The IROC was egged once too, on the windshield, just one egg again. Thats it for the IROC, thank ***.
