Rims Question

Hey whats up i have a 89 firebird and i am wanting to put on some new rims i have 15x8 on there 225x60r15 on back 205x65r15 on front and i am wanting to put on 17x8 tourqe thrust 2s all around. my car rubs sometimes with the 15x8s on it but ive been told that my tire isnt a low enough profile and thats why its rubbing and my cars springs are worn out.. so i am wondering if the tourqe thrusts will fit on there with a 245-275x40-45 tire on it? I Dont Not want to order 1000 dollars worth of rims if they do not fit and be stuck with them so i am trying to research as much as possible so my questions are Will these Rims fit on my car? Will it rub? what do yall recommend?(on rimsize/tire size) Thanks :hail: for everything

If your springs are that bad I would replace them first. Your tires
profile is plenty low enough, I am running 235/60-15's all the way
around on my camaro and have no rubbing. However, It could be the backspacing
of the rims you have. If you are going with the 17x8's I would
suggest running 245/45-17's all the way around. 275's are too
wide to fit on that rim and the 245's in this profile will keep your
overall diameter the same size as what you are currently running
(speedo will not need to be adjusted).
