I'm trying to get some last minute cleaning done on my 6-cylinder which will be going up for sale in the next couple of days. Can someone give me some good tips on cleaning carpet, and if you have any other tidbits about the dash pad, or whatever it might be, lemme know, but particularly carpet and seats.

My carpet's been pretty ugly since _I_ bought the car 3 years ago, but I never really took much time to try and get the stains out. I did try that orange stuff you see on t.v. once and it didn't work and I tried a spray solution once, but no dice on either. If I can't get the stains out, I at least want the rest of the carpet to look good. I've heard you can use a carpet cleaner in there to get good results, can this be done with the seats in, or is it worth the efforts to remove all the seats and do this?

Also, I have a _tiny_ spot on my passenger seat that I don't know what it's from, but it's been there a while. Any ideas on getting it out? Not sure what it is, but it's black.

Go have the interior shampoo cleaned (if you want to invest in that. You'll get the money back with selling the car). That's what I just had done, and my seats and carpet look SO MUCH better....
