bolt on scoop question

Ok, i thought I would try this before buying a new hood. I have a 2 inch cowl scoop that is supposed to go onto a hood.

I am assuming bondo it onto the hood right, my question is how to attach it to the hood? rivits? I don't really want them visible when painted.

And should i cut off the area around the scoop where is is just flat? Kinda hard to describe, but a picture is in the jegs catalog in the hood section.

And finally, how would i go about cutting a hole in the hood under the cowl? what tool would I use.

Thanks for any help.

when i had my L88 scoop moulded to my car they fastened it to the steel hood by rivets. Then they used fiberglass, sanded it down til it was reasonably flat, used putty to fill in the low spots, primed it to check for any noticeable bad spots..and it came out looking pretty good. [theres a pic of my car in readers rides]
after my hood was done i took a high speed dremel and cut a vent 8"long x 12 wide under it and it vents the underhood heat very well.

Yeah I'm doin it like the guy above with my L88 except I'm going to put it on from the underside of the hood then rivet it on and mud it, sand it then paint. If you just slap it right on top then it will leave a ridge from where the scoop ends, And it won't be flush with the hood. Do ya kinda know what I'm talkin about ?
