Firebird in the Bahamas

I mostly want to brag about my recent honeymoon to the bahamas but to get a thirdgen involved I will tell you what I saw.

If you have ever been to Freeport, Grand Bahama Island you can witness a lot of 80's model cars on the road (opposite side I might add Yikes!). My wife and I didn't rent a car which was probably the smartest thing, so we took taxi's. Most cars on the island were early eighties american cars and a lot of later model import cars such as nissans, hondas, and mitsubishis. All of them were in very poor shape, with a sad attempt to put cool rims or accessories on their car.

Any way, I only saw one Firebird on the island. It was an 85+ style trans am, maroon with grey ground f/x. Aftermarket wheels. I saw two 82-84 camaro sport coupes that were pretty much beaters. I did see two 4th gen camaros as well.

What about you guys and gals? Any thirdgen spotting on your travels around the world?

I picked up a pretty cool souvenier too. I collect tin automobilia signs and license plates...I picked up a Grand Bahamas license plate! Pretty cool and exotic plate to add to my collection.

What kind of collections do you all have? Any cool plates or road signs?

Later
keep on thirdgen'n

Didn't see this in person--but once I was watching a special cops edition that was shot in Russia--I saw an early-maybe 83-84--Firebird there--looked really beat up. Thought that was weird.

One of those days

Here in So-cal, F bodies are plenty, and the ones that last, are in pretty nice condition. Today I saw a 91-92 Convertible BLACK GTA, Tan ragtop. 2nd sweetest thirdgen I've seen around here. The first being the only TTA I've seen, drive in front of my school one morning, before I got my license... that made my day that day. I saw 4, yes 4, thirdgens w/in a 250 foot length of road. 3 4th gen T/A's, one silver, lowered, i think billet wheels (not too sure), then a 98+ T/A, white, and this black 'vert 4th gen, license plate "BCH PLZ"

So you saw them in Nassau? We flew out of there to Miami using Bahamasair. Wow I will never use their airline again. We left from Freeport to Nassau and the plane was a half an hour late. They then decided to have a 45 minute delay and by the time we got on the plane and took off it was another 20-30 minutes. Needless to say we missed our flight in Nassau. We then waited 1 hour at the ticket counter to get redirect flight back to Indianapolis. They screwed up our tickets 3 times before they got it right. That was the worst part of our honeymoon. I loved the Bahamas and the ocean was the bluest I have ever seen it!!!! Ya Mon!
