my paint sucks

my paint (black) started fading so i first used turtle wax and it looked good for about a week then it started fading again. So, this time i used Meg. Gold and this time it was even better than before but that didn't last long. its not really starting to fade but when i wash the car and it dries you can see water spots all over it and they won't come off. what can i use to get the spots off and make the paint shine?

Try taking it to your local detail shop, it works wonders!

Sounds like you need alight cut or even just a "3m perfect it foam polishing pad glaze" then a hand polish, Formulla 113 sounds the go, but then I haven't used 113. coz I'm waiting

Here's how we do it at the detail shop.

1. A real good wash is important. If the wash is bad nothing else will help. Get the car clean, first.

2. Invest in a California water blade. Get's the water off with no spots. If you use a towel make sure it is soft cotton and very clean.

3. 3m Rubbing compound. Hand applied, machine buffed off.

4. Hand wipe down the car again with a soft cotton towel.

5. Get a soft professional polish(wax) like Zaino or Megulars. Stay away from the paste. Use a liquid. Hand apply then machine buff. Take your time. Use a foam pad or terry towel pad on the buffer. If your car is dark use a black foam pad.

6. Lightly wife down the car looking forand remaining wax or compound.
