Looking for opinions of Meguire's 3 step.

Wondering if anyone's used it before, and how they'd rate it against Zaino and formula 113. I'd like to wax my car soon, but am not certain of which brand to buy.

*Edit* Nevermind, forgot to search.

Curses.

I've tried all 3 of them...Zaino is by far the best overall system in my opinion. Meguires just never seemed to last very long for me. I used it for several years and then found Zaino. Sure, Zaino takes a few simple "base" coats to get started, but the few extra steps is well worth the minimal effort. My black '99 Grand Prix GTP shines like its new (many people have commented). My blue '92 Camaro with original paint looks fantastic (everyone comments).!!

I recently received a sample of Formula 113 and tried it on both the GTP and the Camaro. My opinions are as follows:

-Does not apply any easier than Zaino, in fact it was fairly hard to spread even with a fine mist of quick detailer on the applicator.

-I did not notice a bit of difference on my black GTP's hood once 113 was applied. Ditto with the Camaro which has a few hard to remove surface scratches on the hood. 113 didn't hide them either.

-The Bead-X or whatever it's called worked as well as any other quick detailer, but no better.

I'm not bashing 113, just not amazed by it at all compared to Zaino. And Meguires is far behind Zaino in my opinion, so spend the small amount of additonal cash and get the real shiznitz...:hail: Zaino!

I've never used zaino before, but I'm probably going to try it soon, in theory it sounds like the best of the three.

I used the formula 113, and as I said before, it did everything they advertised it to do, worked good, but it is a cleaner wax, and comparing it to meguires cleaner wax, I got the same results with both. The formula 113 cost me $20, and the meguires cost me $5.

Now I'm using Meguires 3 step system on my car(about $20 for all three steps), and I'll only use cleaner wax's on cars I'm trying to make look good to sell. It takes a little more time, but the 3-step looks and lasts better to me.

Well, I have been waxing cars for over 16 years. I have used just
about everything out there. I have a shelf full of products that I
have used. I ordered a sample of the Formula 113 and have to say
I was amazed. Guys, it makes a big difference if you use a DAMP
applicator to apply it. That goes for any product.
Anyway, I have a new car, that people like, but after I used the
Formula113, it almost seemed to change the color of the car. I
actually had people asking me what I did to it. No lie. After the
first day, the car seemed to get even shinier...(is that a word?)

Here is a pic of my Honda, just for those who don't believe. Its over
2 years old now, and has almost 50,000 miles on it.

Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention, it only took me about 30 minutes
to do the whole car, and I didn't have to go back over it with a
toothbrush to clean the emblems, door handles, and cracks. Its
worth it just for that.

I wasn't crazy about the 3 step wax from meguiars at all. I do like the cleaner and polish though. What i do now is use the cleaner and polish then add a coat of a better paste wax instead of the meguiars stuff. It works well.
