Can someone help with my fading paint????
Can someone help with my fading paint????
Hey guys, sorry, this isn't about an f-body, but I figured I'd ask here....
I have a 1987 Fiero SE / V6. The paint on the car is for the most part.. absolutely perfect. Except for two spots on the decklid... the paint seems to be fading.. either that, or the clearcoat is chaffing?? or however you would say that.
Is there a way to buff that out and / or seal it up again?
Basically.. the area where this is happening, it's starting to look blurry and kind of white... the paint color is Medium Metallic Red (maroon).
Thanks!
Todd

first try a clay bar. if that doesnt work use PERFECT IT III, from 3M. use it with a foam buffing pad. this should cut the paint pretty fast. that should make the paint look like new. when your done, wash it and put hand glaze on it.
