flat or gloss black???
i am painting the headlight pockets and grill area black tomorrow and i want to know whether to go with flat black on the grill area or go gloss. i'm donig the headlight pockets flat cause thats how they were right??

I'm not sure, but I'll give u a bump. I'm in the game for finding this out too, my car is going to get painted soon. I've never really seen a 3rd gen in good enough/like new condition to know if it's flat or gloss....

I have a 91 z28 that is dark metalic red , sort of maroon color. and it still has factory paint which is mint condition. (never driven in rain or winters) .
the head light pockets are gloss black. why would u ever paint them flat black? well, if ur restoring it to stock i know mine and my frineds 91's are stock paint w/ gloss painted head light pockets.

you can get this stuff called trim coat. it is a satin black finish. to give an example, you know how on some cars have trim that is flat black, thats the color of trim coat. hope this helps
