how do i get sap off the paint? would wd40 work?

 

try " goo gone " and then a quick scrub with a clay bar

I use Eucalyptus tree oil, works real good but I don't know if you have it over there. You could also try Tar & Bug remover.

 

go to a pepboys or auto advanst store and look for a Blue Magic bug and tar remover. its a clear plastic bottle and its filled with a blue jel. i used that on my dads car before prom and the stuff came off like it was nothing. and then i cleaned up the glass with some windex and some black magic wet and shine for the paint. the blue magic works great.

 

A few drops of Simple Green on a cotton rag works wonders. Just make sure you clean off the residue afterwards.
