What would u do?

What would you do?

Ok right now i have a 88 sport coupe with a 305 w/ a rod knock. I fgure for a little over 800 bucks i can get the car running and painted. 600 for a used 305 with 30,000 on rebuild, installed. And 200 dollars for new paint job, uncle owns a body shop. Now what i am asking is right now all i have put into the car is 1,700 dollars what i paid for. really i want to get rid of it and get an iroc, i got it when i didn't know that there were different styles of camaros. So what i am asking is if i do this i will have 2,500 invested in it total, if i go and sell it after new engine and paint can i get at least that out of it? or should i just cut my loses? It has 130,00 miles on body with a new radiator still under warranty. thats about it everything else is stock. thanks!

I think you could probably get that out of it, but you would probably have to find someone that wanted one. But I definately think you should go for an IROC.

And we need to know this? What a *****

Anyway, I would probably just try and sell it now for as much as you can get and bite the bullet now. If it won't sell, then rebuild and repaint and try again. Good luck

the only reason i wouldn't do this is becuz the body is **** now its got some rust on the passenger wheel well and passenger door is slightly misaligned becuz of a hit and run. So really the car isn't worth much as is right now a rusty body and a broken engine.

I would say get it fixed sell it for as much as you can and get an IROC

Like you said, no one wants a rusty body with a bad engine....

I agree with flynlow92rs. Sell the SC for what you can reasonably get and buy that IROC, which I hope is in fair condition.
