Pics of diff alum valve covers on TPI
Hey Guys,
I am looking at cleaning up my engine and engine bay. One thing I want to change is my valve covers. I have looked through alot of the posts on here of diff engine pictures. I am trying to get a collection of pictures that show TPI motors with different aluminum valve covers or really any valve covers other than stock. I ma looking at buying some of the GMHP Nascar valve covers and painting or powder coating the CHEVROLET and bow-tie on them. Could yall post your diff engines pics if you have aftermarket valve covers so I can see what else is out there and how it would look.
Thanks!!!!

You can't use those valve covers unless you change heads. Your 88 has centerbolt heads.
Anyway, here's a pic of mine:

Well, that's not entirely true, while the GM valve covers won't bolt directly to your stock heads, you can purchase adapters for them made by GM Performance, they will allow the use of flange mount style valve covers. The Jeg's part number is 809-24502540
and they go for $173.99. Pricey, but if you really want those valve covers it's a solution. Then again you could always just pick up some new heads too.

I am aware of the center bolt issue. Actually GMPP makes the adapters too and they only want like $60 for the pair. Belive me, if I want it bad enough, I can make anything work.

Some generic brand covers JEGs stopped selling right after I bought them. I'm not sure but I think JCWhitney has started carrying them.. don't quote me on that though...
