poll on hoods

ok guys,
its crunch time..

im getting a hood for next year as well as side skirts..
ive already decided on the side skirts(kobel sides) but as for hoods im not totally sure. i like the ram air hood and in the photoshop specials that you guys did really well it looks good on my car imho..BUT its a little out of my price range at the moment but if you really think and its the majority of votes then ill wait on that and get the money together in order to buy it..

THE CHOICES:

1.ram air hood
2.big block hood
3.ss hood
4.cowl induction (4 inch) -not too fond of this one
5.turbo hood
6twin turbo hood

now i have a price for all of them, given the current look of my car (new wing and kobel sides) which hood do you think would work well with the new stuff ive added

thanks guys

it looks like a hood with two cuts in it near the front of the hood where the twin turbos could grab air or something...not very nice looking but i had to include it just in case someone may like it

iroc2nv

ill go and try and find the hoods and what they look like so everyone has a look at what they are

I voted Ram Air hood. Probably Ram Air II.

Reason being has a lot to do with the new wing. I personally think it REALLY stands out right now with as tall and wide as it is... but I'm thinking that the taller RAII hood would kinda help balance out the car and bring it together.

Cowl hood or SS hood. I think the Ram air hood is NOT right for 3rd gen Camaro's, but on 3rd gen Birds they look good. They do look ok on 3rd gen Camaro's, but I just think the cowl hood (2 or 3 inch) is the best followed by the SS hood.

Turbo Hood! Because they are "played out", right! SS hoods and ram air hoods will be played out soon enough. A majority of the people on this site either have them or a cowl hood. Get what you want because our cars are truely "me-too cars". Not too many rare aftermarket parts for our cars. good luck on the decision

I would strongly recomend you get a hood that matches your ground effects style. Since you have the import look, I don't know what hood would look best besides your stock one. You can't beat the common but classic look of a 2" cowl or what about that TGO hood offered by GTA Fiberglass Accessories. I like the Twin Turbo hood and the Daytonna Hood, but the style of them is a bit dated and look best on the older cars with ground effects.

SS hood (96-97) all the way! it's bad A**!! I just ordered one for my black 1991 Z28 5.7 Tuned Port Injection (L98) These are just opinions...so....please....noone get mad at me The Ram Air hood (TA type) for the 3rd Gen Camaro's almost looks...."to much" they look tooooo big.....the Iroc Daytona hood almost looks kind of like a toy....like it would be seen on a hot wheels or something. But....no matter what, they are all awesome hoods, whatever floats your boat! Make your car the way you want it to look!! All that matters if it looks good to you.

from what i've gathered, most of the ram-air variety hoods need cutting to become functional, but hey, i could be wrong.

What's so good about the ASCD SS hoods is that they already come cut out and they even include the grill insert!!
