Most of the 4th gens were member rides. (of APA). There was one that wasn't a members ride....but it's the one that beat me. You could have made it man....I left this morning at 4 am for it.

Hope to see you there next year!

Unfortunately Redbird, the touch up paints that I tried did not match my paint, so I did not do much to the bumper.

However, the oxidation spots on my mirror and roof are gone now. I ended up using a product by Turtle Wax called Rubbing Compound. I used a buffer for this and it takes the oxidation right off. A word of caution though....if you don't pay attention to it...it'll take ALL the paint off.

Well, considered the post finished. I wanted to know if I should. I did. I posted results (sorry no pictures) and even results of products I used. I think this post has strayed off topic enough.

Wanted to offer my congradulations. Let me know if you can use any more help. Oh,...scratch out is a good product to help reduce scratches if you have a buffer. It can mask the fine scratches that rubbing compounds leave behind.

I have so wanted to see the black car in person. If you have any info on the guy could you email me with it. I would love to talk to him about the car. You know, from one modder to another... Joe and I have been concidering making a custom hood for his new car and any help in making hoods would be useful.

About the remove before flight....My stepdad got it from work. Not sure where it comes from exactly. He works for the airlines as a mechanic. Its prob something for the engines.

I got a "REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT" banner that I took off a plane we were sending off to drop a bomb on IRAQ during Desert Storm. It has as pin on the end that was inserted in the nose of a 1 ton bomb that had to be removed before flight so it would detonate when dropped.

I had seen it listed on ebay, quite a while back. I assumed it had sold. Though with a car like that you have to sit on it a while to get the price all your effort on it is really worth. Heck a Friend of mine had to have here 88 Camaro appraised before her divorse was finalized. HSe wanted to keep the car, so her x had her get it appraised so she could pay him 1/2 the equity in it. Believe it or not the car appraised at $16,000. She has a new custom deep pearl purple paint job. (looks black till the sun hits it) Then she has 15in chrome rims, custom upolstered seats, a custom stereo install, mint/new interior, rebuilt suspension, and a complete rebuilt 2.8 V-6. Overall the car is very clean and well done, still stock though. No one ould buy it for that, but at least she won't total it if someone bumps her.

I would hate to think what mine would appraise at... Though I plan to find out soon!
