What do to after painting to make it shine?
Ok, I finnaly got all my rust taken care of, got the body preped and I painted it, but it looks very dull(I used DupliColor spray paint). I am gonna have it repainted next summer but for now I need this to work. What do I have to do to get it to shine? I have been told to buff it or pollish it then wax...but what exactly do I need to do? I really need a step by step/walkthroug, I have never done this before and really have no idea what I am doing.
Thanks

dont think you are supposed to polish buff or wax for at least 3 weeks. Probably cause you didn't put any clear coat on top of the touch up paint. your whole body has clear coat and your touch up spot has none. Makes sense right
i wouldn't buff the spray paint, your just asking for trouble there. Just clear coat the spray painted spot and call it a day. If you hit that spot with the buffer, don't be suprised if it comes off,and then this is what you will be doing
How about a pic?
I'm from OZ but when you say dupliclour do you mean spray can?
If so I wouldn't have done that!!
did you clear coat ? anyway block back with 1200 or finer wet rub paper , cut with a liquid fine cutter on a machine buff then use 3M glaze or 113 on a foam pad with a buffer. Good luck
