IROC hood question

Axle/Gears: Auburn Posi; Richmond 3:73 Gears
IROC hood question
ok is the IROC hood a standard 82-89 z28 hood? but where the indentions where the black stripes are put the loovers are put there instead? or is the IROC hood actually a hood with out the loovers you have to buy seperate... I have a 84 z28 hood i was woundering if i could just insert the loovers to give it a IROC hood look...

IROCs were 85-90 , that hood did come on IROCs and Zs after '84 I think, not sure when Zs started gettin that hood.

so it's a special hood? the loovers will not fit in the indention on my 84?

No,the louvers are too wide for the 82-84Z28 hood.The IROC hood does have indentions in it with 1/4"holes in it for the pegs,that are attached to the louvers bottom, to fit through and bolt on.Actually the IROC hood came on the 85-87 Z28,85-90 IROC and the 91-92 Z28 which have blisters intead of louvers.
