Wow that looks really good, it really makes your big azz brakes stand out. Did you just pain the wheel centers, or did you powder coat them or what?

Well, I'll be the first to say I don't like it. I like the roh's that are more of a charcoal color, but I'm not into the black. That's still one of my favorite cars on the board, though, and if you like it thats all that maters.

Sweet Baer brakes *drool* The rims look nice. I wish mine were that clean but I hate them so I don't really wash them that much.

i love black rims. saw a C5 once black with dark tint and gloss black rims, the whole wheel was shiney black and the tires were all glossy - one of the most bad *** C5s i have ever seen.

your car looks good

Very nice! That's precisely what I had planned on doing, and now I get to see it ahead of time.

I'm thinking that the charcoal will look better on my IROC than the black, but at least now I can do a photochop and see what I get.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I realize it's a love/hate type of deal. I am satisfied. It came out exactly as I wanted it too.

For those who asked, the wheels are 17" diameter. And the centers are acrylic enamel painted, not powdercoated. I wanted to powdercoat, but the cost was prohibitive. Polishing and powdercoating the same wheel is a special process and is costly, as I found out. These wheels were professionally polished, then painted. It cost me $480 to have it done. The prices I got for powdercoating and polishing ranged from $760 to $900!

I don't know if the center is clearcoated. I doubt it. I did tell them I wanted gloss black, and that's how they came out. I was told it's the same type paint as used on factory wheels, so it should be relatively durable.

I took these pictures on an overcast gray day. When I can get some pics in sunlight the wheels will look a lot better. They look bitchin' in person.

I like the look also it looks killer! I was also curious about the brake setup. What all do you have and how much did it run? The car has to look just right to pull off black wheels and yours does a great job!

Those look muy bueno. I like them. I feel like I am talking to a celebrity since your car was featured in GM High Tech Performance, not Road & Track, but still a good magazine. I would have gone with a dark grey rather than the gloss black. Never the less they still look great. I was going to get a set of ROHs until my college increased tuition, so I had to settle for the black GTA rims.

Since the Performance Wheel Outlet deal didnt work out (they dont make that offset in 18" size for the front), I decided to go with a custom made set from Boyd Coddington. Actually, they are the same wheels a previous member used to have (Car'N'Driver) but 18's instead of 17's. Boyd Coddington 'Tuned' in 18x8 in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear. I will be having the spoke area powdercoated Black Opal Grey (little darker than Gunmetal), but I will be leaving the lip and dish polished. I'm thinking they will look really nice tucked under a black 92 hardtop with a 3" drop.

There is a guy with a similar setup on his Camaro on this board. I think that will look extremely good.

Baer 13" rotors in front and 11" rotors in rear. It stops well

I was also curious about the brake setup. What all do you have and how much did it run? The car has to look just right to pull off black wheels and yours does a great job!

Thanks! Baer racing "Track" kit front and rear. Cost was about $1300 with the options.

Damn that looks killer, I don't know what looks better those huge brakes or the rims *drools* If I ever get rims for my GTA I'm gettin those. BTW how much did you pay for them?

The ROH wheels are about $230 a piece. And I just paid $480 for the polish and paint job on them.
