i think i am gonna get a paint job. my car is white right now and i dont think that i want to get it repainted white. i was thinking about pearl with red in it that you can only see at certain angles. i have never seen any pearl camaros before. if anyone has any pics can i see them? i can get this paint job for $1500. is that a good price. he would also be filling like 20 door dings on each side

I was going to go with the Dark Cherry Metallic. It's on the aniv. Grand Prix's. It's sweet. I thought about going with a pearl red color at one point, but I decided to go darker.

$1500 sounds like a pretty good deal, but I would check out his work first.

I saw a prelude that had a pearl paintjob on it and it looked very nice.....

I say go for it.....

 

what's pearl paint? is that a color or a type?

 

What looks good on a Prelude doesn't always look good on an F-Body..

hey pearl paint on third gen camaros looks bad ***. ur kinda doin the same thing as i am but im gettin mine painted black with red pearl in it. if i can try to find a model third gen and take it to that gut and have him shoot the paint on it, thatwa u will be able to see how the light hits it on the diffrent angles. but with the sharp angles on our cars it really looks nice.

 

If you change color to say red make sure you paint EVERYTHING! coz nothing looks worse if its not done properly.
paint inside your doors & engine bay etc the white pearl sounds nice, I painted some white pearl on a motor bike fairing once & it looked real sweet, Does your sisters friend know how to paint PEARL? coz its harder to do than normal paint.

 

Hey hows it going? I'm one town away too in Jackson. That is where i got my paint job done. It cost me $2000 for everything. I was going to get a blue paint job with silver pearl but when i went to do it i backed out. At the time it was my daily driver and if you mess one inch up on a pearl paint job, you need to re do the whole thing for it to match right. Or you could just deal with it, but i am a freak when it comes to that stuff, it would bother the **** out of me! I think it would look pretty sweet. The color does anyway! I have seen it on a few imports in person. later

Jacko, yeah he has painted pearl before. one paint job that he has done was a pearl white with red and purple at different angles. i would not want to get the purple because it doesnt match anything on my car. my car is originally white with red interior, so pearl white with red would go good
