they sould pay for a new bumper cover, if they dont make them, i f you get a used one the hairline crakes in the paint that is on the used cover will bleed through the new orange paint, and fixing it is out of the question. dont skimp on parts, no aftermarket (ie. keystone), only GM or GM authorized. the hood might be reparable, but if you can get a new one as the hairline cracks will also "bleed" through just like on the urathane bumper cover. and make sure that when they bled the paint, tha they get all of the averspray off, and that there are no hazy lines where they blended it, ask them were they blended and look at it in both sunshine, and under the flourecent lights, as well as in the dark, as between the 2 lights and shadows you will see any flaws in the work. dont do bondo either, it only lasts for 5-8 years then bubbles off. how do i know all of this, as some of you may or may not know, i work at a body shop. those are the tricks that i have learned while working here. good luck

the hood BETTER be fixable, GT Auto has a 6-7 week back-up on their orders, 4-5 weeks before they even take new orders
Im hoping to have this puppy back in 2 weeks.

An insurance company is there to make money, not to give it out so of course they are going to be hesitant..........
Anyway make sure not to skimp on parts, get a new one since it will show through on your new paint job......

Well, if you go with the GT Auto air box, i'll take that intake off of your hands! Could you send me some info on it please. You should be glad your car is not in worse shape though. I have seen a lot worse from deer! And yes, the engine bay could use a good cleaning, and maybe some color matching paint too. Overall, nice ride! Good luck

Actually badgta, I'm considering the Ram Air I right now. Alot of people seem to think that the "nostrils" on the Ram Air II don't flow with the car well enough.
So here's a pic request. Got any pictures of the car from the side, that accurately shows the lines of the top of the hood and the side of the car? What about some measurements of the hood itself (such as height of lifted section and such).
The price is close enough on these two hoods (and they're both functional) that I'm up for just about either one.

I personally think that the Ram Air I doesnt flow at all with our cars. The Ram Air I is to blunt and out of place. The Ram Air II is bigger, but it is sleek and flowing I think. ...The nostril lines match up with the lines of the raised area between the headlights on the bumper on the 85-90 style T/A, I think the hood could have came factory the way it looks.

the intake is the LT1 from www.lt1intake.com
and the other is custom made from 3" mandrel bent exhaust piping and a cone filter on the end. It is MAF, that is what the black thing in the cold air intake it. Its not quite "cold air" yet cause I need a head shield around the area that the filter is.

Oh you kept the MAF, i thought you had changed it over to SD. Sorry! I would need mine to fit the MAF also. Any info on how to make one for my car? It would be a great help since i am looking at using the stock intake for now! Thanks a lot for any help. Also, how is the progress on the car repairs? Anything form the insurance company as for when it will get done? Good luck with that-Bryan

oh yeah, its back on the road again, its been for like 2 weeks. Insurance adjuster came out, looked at the car, was totally impressed with it, and gave $2400 to fix it. Had it back in a week or so.

I raced a mid 60's vette from like a 15mph roll to like maybe 40-50, just a little flex of the muscles and I beat him. Blew my motor two days later, but I did it.
