Well today i realized that my new formula wheels didnt stick out of the wheel well as much as a Formula friend with rear discs
So in my car the rear wheels looks really inside the wheel well
and i dont like it.
So i thought that maybe Formulas with Drumbrakes came with spacers .How about if i put washers on it?
Please help.

They did not come with spacers. The front and back wheels are different on our cars. The rear wheels need a -16mm offset, which means that the wheel mounting surface on the rear drum is 16mm farther away from the frame than the front. If you have a correct set of 4 wheels, you should be able to see the difference between the front and rear by looking at the wheel lip. 2 of the wheels should have a deeper lip than the other 2. The 2 with the deep lip are the front wheels.

There is a spacer in the back on my 91 Formula, around 1/4" I think.
Im changing rims tomorrow and I'll measure and tell you the size.

Gm installed the .170 spacer on iron drum brake cars to make up the difference in thickness from the aluminum drums used previously. These were ONLY installed on cars having the 16"aluminum wheels to give correct spacing on the rear. People either use them or not, its not a real big issue.

I had the 1/4" spacers on my car (w/ drum rear and 16" crosslaced wheels) and took them off. It didn't make a visible difference to me. Is it really that much of a difference for ya sammy?

When I put GTA wheels on my car, I put 0mm offsets in the rear along with 0mm offset in the front. Both rear and Front wheels stick out the same width with no spacer on the rear with drum brakes. I think cars that came with 16's from the factory did not need spacers with the 0/16mm combo. Cars that came with 15s had the same offset and would require a spacer for the rear for the 0/16mm combo 16's like Formula wheels and GTA wheels. You will want to get a spacer to change the rear 16mm offset wheel as close to 0 offset wheel to match the front.

Today i added 3 washers per stud and it looks nice ...
i added 4 but i feared ..cause the center section of the wheel
was outside the center section of the drum ...maybe it wouldn happen nopthing cause it was bolted OK but i dont know...

That problem bothered me for a while because some cars had spacers with 16s and some didn't. I took accurate measurements of my stock 15s. I measured both the backspacing and offset. All wheels measured at 0mm offset. Simple math told me that if I got used GTA wheels, I would need spacers for the 16mm rear wheels. Instead of worring about getting a spacer, I just opted to buy 4 new 0mm offset GTA wheels from Year One because I could not get a hold of 4 used ones with 0mm offset.

My front rims are clearly deeper then the rear to make up for the space because my fronts are disc and the rears are drum. My formula came with spacers also. Id say there a little less then 1/4 of an inch or so. If you look on the rear rims they should say REAR ONLY imbeaded right into the rim. The same goes for the front. (FRONT ONLY). Trust me alot of my friends think that i can take my rears and put them on the front. You can...but...it will throw everything on your car off. alightment....how far your rims stick out of the wheelwell. Not to mention that if GM designed the car with spacers it should be left that way unless your setting the car up for like drag racing or something like that. Hope this helps.

My Formula did not have spacers....however, there was the deep dish lip on the front rims that that rear rims did not have. I had the Formula deep dish rims, and a WS6 suspension, with disk front and drum rear. Rears came right right out by the fender lip...no tucking in at all. Hope that helps.

Check my previous post on this subject. Again I would have to state the .170 thick spacers came only on cars with Rear Iron Drum Brakes & 16" Aluminum Wheels. And unless you bought your car new they may have been disgarded over the years. That may be one reason you do not have them.

Also the Stock 16" Aluminum wheels are marked "front" & "rear"
and should only be used at those positions for correct wheel spacing.

I hope this info will put this subject to rest.
