Depends on the dent, sometimes your hand can do.. Or maybe a hammer, if you can get it into where it needs to be.

Body shops use something similar to that cheap infocommercial device, the Ding King.

The dent is on the driver's side fender on the top right of the wheal well. I think one of my neighbors friends in front of my house hit it while they were backing up

a slide hammer will do it if you don't feel like taking off the fender.

Yup, that is my car, the dent don't look that bad in that pic actually, nice and shiney.
