Nothing personal to any ladies who might be reading this, I personally don't always believe that women will answer a survey like they might actually resond at any given moment. When my car was new it was sweet. It is so bright (white ) in the sun that it is blinding. I had been talking to this girl at a grocery store by my house where she worked.... Little blonde sweet thing and after a few times i asked her out. She lived in the same area as i did and she stopped by that night afterwork and didn't leave till the next morning. I called her the a few days later i think it was the next friday night and told her my name and she didn't know who I was untill I told her what kinda car I drove... Then she knew exactly who I was.. All I could think about at the time was it worked.. One of the reasons I actually bought my car. And it worked more than once.. But then again that was quite a while ago..

BTW, my girl friend just said women answer surveys the way they think people want to them answered ..

It's fast? I do like a fast car, but I also like it loud

It's obviously expensive? money has nothing to do with it. It's the style of the car and how well it is maintained that should be the turn on

A convertible Top? heck yeah

A manual transmisssion? I like both(since I drive an automatic). But the manual is more fun

Leather seats? Well...aside from sticking to them, they are pretty sleek and they look good too

A great stereo? it's a good feature, but I dont want to put that in an dmake my music so loud that I can't hear my car

It's not a rental? It would be nice, it's rare to get a good looking rental

Yes, Ricers get all the women, and then again, they do not. Lots of women don't understand why anyone would do anything to thier car at all. Just put gas in it once in a while and change the oil when their husband/boyfriend tell them too. I have seen WAY too many examples of this.

Ricers do however get more women than the muscle car guys so. Women (in general Silver ) like creature comforts. Muscle cars are loud, bumpy, have crappy air conditioning, etc..etc. My GF hates t-tops, she hates convertibles, hates my air conditioning because it doens't blow hard enough, likes imports, hates domestics, likes comfortable interior, likes updated interiors, etc etc.

I just learned to leave it be, most women just don't understand. Then again, we don't understand their shoes facination either.

W/my baby..even a lotta the guys i know give me **** about double parking..and parking far away. there are like 2 girls ive ever met that understand why i baby it so much. The rest all think im nuts. And a lotta my guy friends do too. To them its "just a car, not like its an old one or a classic". That tix me off a lot...im like think about it..91 camaro..its almost 2003..for a car thats old...for my car to be in the conditioin its in is awsome in my opinion.

As girls mature they realize how silly the ricers look and then begin to appreciate a "real" car.

My car is not in its best shape, but the only reason I park far away is no one throws crap under my car, such as empty beer cans. I get really tired of that. A lot of places have a small parking lot on the side of the establishment. That is where I like to park.



I go to car shows to see the cars, not the girls, but obviously I'm going to look.




This reminds me of the 80s when a lot of women walked up to Mercedes or BMWs.

 

for it me, the car has to be in great condition and sound really good.

I don't really think that any 3rdgen fits into the muscle car category, or the "new sports car" category....I think we got the best of both worlds...

Most people of the female gender that I've spoken with, think of 3rdgen 'maros as a Drug Dealer's car....which is why I could care less what other people think of them....

I don't care at all what any given female thinks of my car.....I wouldn't want a chick to be with me for just my car anyways....

I'm very sorry to hear that Sonar........*shakes head* if I had someone that said ONE complaint about my car......he/she's walking because I dont want to hear it. When you have a car and I dont have to tote you around then you can drive yours and I can drive mine and there we can all be happy.

Be afraid of those who park closely to other people. They'll probably ding your car if you leave them to their own devices.

And if all the girls are going for the imports that leaves the women for the muscle cars.

funny that you mention the drug dealer thing... about 4 years ago my dad and I bought an '86 that was in pretty bad shape for $1000. Even though there was rust and everything in it I couldn't figure out why the guy had made the box for his 15" subs so well. He lined the well with fiberglass and actually attached the top of the box to the car with screws and sealed it with silicon... turns out we found more than a few whacky weed seeds in there.

As for girls not knowing anything about cars... I don't think it's true. In fact, NOBODY, guys and gals alike, knows anything about cars anymore. I was a grease monkey over the summer and you could tell that most people never even lift the hood between oil changes. Cars would come in (esp. Saturns and Isuzus cause they all burn oil) a full quart or more low on oil. WE ARE TALKING NOT EVEN ON THE DIPSTICK! And when we would try to sell serpentine belts to people with cracked ones they would ask "Well, what does it do." In general, people today are just plain stupid when it comes to their vehicles. They dont care it it was low on oil when they brought it in, they just don't want any smudges on their hood or leather seats when they leave!!!

Its funny, most people I know dont know anything about cars period. I drove to Boston with a friend whos toyota which is obviously about to eat its transmission. He didnt seem to care. I flat out told him, my sister knows more about cars than you. Which is true, considering all she overhears from me and my father. Its bad at my house, I cant pull off the "I need new heads for improved fuel economy" with my mom because she actually knows what they do.
