tires on stock rs wheels
what is the largest width i could run on my 89 rs wheels? i have 235's on there right now, i was kinda wanting to go to a 255 or something like that out back, is this possible?

Yeah, those 255s will really help your 2.8 hook.
You obviously don't need more tire for acceleration, and the 255s are going to cause it to handle worse than the 235s on those skinny 7" wheels. I'd stick with what you have.
But, if you're that worried about having the "look", I think that the 255 will work on the 7" wheel as long as you can find one with a small enough aspect ratio to keep your diameter close to stock.

you'd be surprised how well it spin's em off the line. thank you though. i was mainly just curious if they would fit. you say they may be bad on handling, that is my main question i guess. i will probably not get them then, at least not for now. 350's going in soon (see sig)

there is a big diffrence between can you fit, and should you fit.
you CAN fit 295's on the factory 15x7's (I have seen it), should you NO.
225's and 235's are pretty common, and i wouldn't go past 235 on the 7" rim personaly.
