SC over GFX?

Just felt like posting this, dont take it as a flame or anything else, just wanting opinions.

When I see pics of a SC i go eww yuck that looks horrible, then i see a z28/rs/iroc with gfx and im like yaaa that looks nice as hell. Does anyone else have this "fetish" with gfx on camaros. I just dont see the fab in the cars without em, they just dont have that look to em, too round or something. Anyone agree with me? or am i a complete dip****, and im wasting my time posting here?

Anyhow, just lookin to see if im the ugly duckling of the crowd, if you will. Remeber this isnt a flame to those with SC's. a 3rd gen is a 3rd gen, be proud.:hail:

Yeah, my bro had an 84 SC that ran high 11s/low 12s, traction depending, and I didn't really care for the car at all, eventhough it scared the $hit outta me.

GFX really add to a 3rd gen's looks.

Not to put down other's rides, I just don't like them at all w/o gfx.

Yeah the GFX make all the difference for me. I'd never dream of owning a 3rd Gen without them. Not to knock anyone who doesn't.

I have a camaro with GFX, and my dad has a SC. I personally prefer GFX, but the SC's can look pretty bad if done right.

I actually like the way the sides of the cars look without GFX....but the nose is just too damn high up on the sport coupes!

from the side GFXless cars (berlinetta, SC, LT) look like 2nd gens....but I can't stand the front!

I love them ground effects on'em. Maybe if the standard Camaro's didn't set as high or were maybe lowered......they would look better. They look like they set to high without ground effects.....the ground effects just make them look sooooo much more aggressive..!! But..just an opinion...no put downs or anything

It really depends on the car.
Myself I feel the camaro looks way better with the GFX, while the Firebird looks good with and without GFX. I voted yes cause I like the look of the third gen maro over the firebird, although I did own a firebird it had no GFX and looked sharp still, where the older camaro's to me look off.

Maybe it's because my parents bought an '85 SC a month after I was born and had it for over 12 years... maybe it's because my first car was/is an '86 SC... but I really like thirdgens without GFX. With is fine, too, but I actually prefer without. It just looks... smoother? I'm not saying that I'd take them off if I bought a car with them, but I AM saying that I wouldn't put them on if I bought a car without them.

Now, what I absolutely HATE are thirdgen camaros without any spoiler at all. I've come to accept the highrise (which I still don't like, but don't hate anymore), but I think a camaro without some kind of spoiler looks like total crap. I've always associated thirdgen camaros with the 3piece wrap-around...

GFX all the way they make a thirdgen look sweet but a 91/92 formula looks bad *** and they don't have GFX.

I agree with zer0321, the nose sits up too high. I own an SC, and it looks pretty aggressive sometimes, like when it's parked on a hill facing down. I plan to lower the front more than the back by at least a half inch difference, if not more. I think that'll make it look perfect without getting GFX.

All in all, though, I say the 91-92 Z28s are the sweetest looking thirdgens hands down. So I vote GFX.
