Brake Fluid to remove paint?

Hey guys I was just wondering..
u know how everyone says buy aircraft paint remover for the rims.. why cant you just use "brake fluid" instead?
its the same effect..

ya dot 3 will take off paint, unfortunalty i had to be a dumbass and learn this the hard way. i would say that u could use it but it wouldnt be nearly as fast as the other stuff. cause it takes a while for brake fluid to bubble the paint up and i dont know if brake fluid takes off primer or not cause i dont think it does at least it didnt when it happened to me.

haha so why sand stuff down if u can just do that?

Cause when you sand, you are polishing the metal. You don't sand to get the clearcoat/paint off, thats why you use the aircraft stripper. Using brake fluid won't magically polish your wheels for you, you will still have to sand.

yeah sorry I was meaning why sand a car down.. instead of sanding it down, but yeah sanding is important when polishing

If ya wanna strip paint use aircraft stripper not b/fluid, for one its gunna cost you more & won't do as good a job
Its good stuff but be carefull & wear safety glasses coz it will chew your eyes in about 1 second!!!!
